Well, I just read all the previous reviews and It seems that I agree with the vast majority of them.It is actually preposterous that anybody would believe that any country in the world would actually give up on their own police forces and justice systems so that the FBI could come in and take over and show the world how to do it. I have watched all of the episodes and I think that each one becomes more ludicrous than the last. The latest episode set in Singapore nearly takes the cake, this is a country with an unbelievably stringent the legal system and one of the lowest amounts of major criminal activity in the world, yet we are expected to believe that more murders are committed in a 24 hour period than in the previous 6 months. The the condescending attitude of these awesome Americans to locals in countries around the world goes more to how Americans are perceived than anything else. Why would the medical examiner just accept that the American medical person on this team would be better than her, why does the inspector does not accept that he could find the perpetrator, how the hell does Alana De La Graza know every single language in the world and every single local custom but is caught working for a pathetic team in the FBI. It is so implausible that I spend half of each episode laughing my head off.Don't even get me started on the acting (or lack thereof), I really enjoy the original Criminal minds but this is an insult to its legacy. All this does is reinforce the fact that the American TV Industry thinks that every other country in the world is third world and even in that they are not consistent. Let's portray every other country as backward but meanwhile we can access the greatest WiFi connections that exist with no buffering no matter where they are, and we can also access every single piece of communication in every country and the blueprints of every single building ever build. The more you think about it the more you realize how much rubbish it really is.

This is a show of outrageous propaganda trying to -once more- scare the Americans traveling abroad (lol). Lets be realistic, how dangerous can it be traveling to countries like Italy, where Guns are Banned, and Serial Killers are extremely rare? Are you more likely to get shot anywhere in the US, or in Florence ?! And on top of that, American FBI agents acting as international police? The concept of the entire show is simply hilarious! Still, it's always fun watching silly shows that take place in beautiful locations. This is a show that you will watch once, and you will forget shortly after the end credits...

It's not particularly bad but its crimes are too comical for my taste, and they are sometimes ignorant about work ethics in different countries; also both on the foreign customs and prejudices. I'm on the Japan episode and it's quite offending. It's like the local police doesn't have the skill as good as the IRT team and that they are super close-minded.Clara was almost too informational for her right; Jack is basically Mac Taylor...;but I had my eyes on Simmons, he's good, charismatic and man Daniel Henney is such an eye candy.Hope S02 will be much better. You have the potential!

I've never really been a fan of any of the more recent crime shows, the CSI's, NCIS's or the Criminal Minds variants, but I thought I'd give the Beyond Borders first show at least a fair chance to showcase maybe something different, but alas, this is just trash. The first foreign and clearly misunderstood country on the "let's scare middle America chopping block" is Thailand. The premise is lame, the story is deplorable and the entire idea of specialised crime fighters all ready to gear up and save your worthless butt whenever you drop off the radar is laughable in the extreme. If anything like this were remotely true, this team would never see their homes ever again as anytime some hapless random U.S citizen feels like going off the beaten track in any foreign land, this crack team would need to be everywhere at once. What Beyond Borders is trying to get us to believe is that all foreign, or at least non-English speaking law enforcement is either all corrupt and/or useless and a visiting American federal team is instantly allowed to take over and call most of the shots. It's also trying to tell us that you're safer simply staying at home, (that's if you're not shot by your own police or accidentally killed by a family member with your own gun), however if you do decide to travel overseas and get captured by a jungle madman or end up organ harvested somewhere, there's a team all ready to suit up and fly in to your rescue. Well it might burst some bubbles for some viewers but unless you're a member of congress, related to one or worth millions of dollars, your life is in local hands and maybe the consulate if they can be bothered. No one is coming to rescue you so just follow the rules and know you're not indestructible and you'll do fine. Beyond Borders is a reprehensible show and based on what I saw, it's also borderline racist in its interpretation of international relations and foreign policy. Granted it's only a TV show but people tend to soak up the nonsense they see whether they realise it or not so I hope to God that this gets pulled before it causes any unnecessary damage.
