abalpn-99472 I've watched the episodes online and I loved the show. I was sad to hear that Alan Young passed away. He was great playing Scrooge McDuck. I love all the characters. My favorites are Launchpad and Gizmo Duck. I watched the Ducktales movie and I loved it. Christopher Lloyd played Merlock and he did a great job as the villain. The villains in the show were hilariously funny. Especially the Beagle Boys. The monsters were scary just like the one from the Bermuda Triangle and the giant walrus.I've played the original Nintendo games. Ducktales and Ducktales 2. Now I have Ducktales:Remastered. It's too bad that they didn't made a sequel ever since Alan Young's passing.I've watched the rebooted Ducktales online and they did a good job with it. I know they wanted a new generation with the viewers. I would think that the Ducktales fans enjoy watching it. In conclusion, Ducktales is still my favorite Disney cartoon.
artandradio-1 After signing up for Netflix, I've been watching a lot of the old TV shows that I remember watching as a kid that have been recently released on DVD. Some have been a real disappointment, like Jem & the Holograms and He-Man. I still don't quite follow the storyline in Robotech, either. But I watched the first boxed set of episodes of Duck Tales, and it has been great! The plots are interesting, the characters are memorable and still funny, and watching it now I notice all the pop culture, literature and historical references. Duck Tales is surprisingly educational! If you fondly remember watching this as a kid or you have kids of your own, you'll enjoy watching this one again. Now I just have to find Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck and Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers to recreate my own Disney Afternoon!
Abusimble1 I used to watch Ducktales as a child in the '90s. Back then, television had normal cartoons. These days, what we see on television is not normal. Luckily, cartoons like Ducktales can be purchased and I definitely recommend doing so! This show took a lot of effort to make. One can see that immediately in the animation and voices used. The drawings are excellent and don't look like a 5 year old made them. The voices are harmonious and well suited for their roles. There are many characters as well, each with their own personality. This cartoon took real work to be made and it's apparent. The plots are good in most of the episodes. The music is another thing which is very well suited to the show. Even after so many years, I still remember some of the melodies. Similar to Gummi Bears, even the introduction of Ducktales is a small masterpiece in itself. I would say the introductions of both cartoons is superior to many entire cartoon serials today. When judging how great a movie or cartoon or book or poem or song is, one should ask himself, "Did I think about this show or book after I finished watching or reading it?". You probably will find yourself thinking about Ducktales at some point after watching it. Excellent cartoon!
Atreyu_II 'DuckTales' is a classic animated TV show produced by Disney. I have fond memories of this cool show. Simple as it may be, it is unforgettable and memorable. Brings back some of the best childhood memories. The characters of this TV series include Scrooge McDuck (or simply Mr. Scrooge), the world's richest duck, very greedy in fact, who also loves to swim on his money (in his Money Bin). Donald Duck's nephews (Huey, Louie and Dewey) are major characters here. Other famous characters are Mrs. Beakley (the nanny), Webby and Scrooge's pilot Launchpad McQuack (such a hilarious name!).If only kids today had shows like this... 'DuckTales' was a landmark in the remarkable generation of the 80's and early 90's, being fun, adventurous, dark, entertaining and filled with classic humor. The theme song is one of the catchiest ever and absolutely spectacular: «DuckTales Whoo-hoo!». Truly a great song that can never die in our memories and hearts. In this animated series, the ducks live many adventures around the world together while searching for treasures. At the same time, they are forced to confront dangers and villains before reaching what they're looking for.I've always loved the stories with these ducks. They're great characters. Donald's nephews are cute and very intelligent. Each character has his/her own personality and that makes each one memorable and great at its own way."DuckTales" inspired a movie called 'DuckTales: The Movie - Treasure of the Lost Lamp' and also countless magazine stories with these ducks (which I love to read) and other popular animated characters as well.Although this generation is quite bad, I will always remember the good old days. I was a child in the second half of the 80's and the first half of the 90's. Ah, those were the days! I feel sorry for today's kids. Anyway, I will never forget the fun I experienced in all the afternoons I spent watching 'DuckTales' in my childhood days. It's one of those shows that made part of my childhood and I will always be proud of that.
