Reviews

Daniel Dell I know there are people that don't like this show, but I really love this show either way. I know Craig McCracken's other show the ORIGINAL Powerpuff Girls isn't as good as it used to be when later Loud House creator Chris Savino took over, but they can at least still be entertaining at times. Hell, my favorite Chris Savino era episode of the Powerpuff Girls was "the City of Clipsville". Anyways, the series, set in a world in which imaginary friends coexist with humans, centers on an 8-year-old boy, Mac, who is pressured by his mother to abandon his imaginary friend, Bloo. After Mac discovers an orphanage dedicated to housing abandoned imaginary friends, Bloo moves into the home and is kept from adoption so long as Mac visits him daily. The episodes revolve around Mac and Bloo as they interact with other imaginary friends and house staff and live out their day-to-day adventures, often getting caught up in various predicaments. I'll admit that the show can be a bit mean-spirited sometimes, and that Bloo can be a bit of a jerk, but this show DEFINES Cartoon Network's GOOD eras!! This also was another one of those shows that the makers of the Modifyers has worked on. I love Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. I think it's a straight up classic series, and I'm glad Cartoon Network gave this to us.
Adel Rahman I remember watching Fosters when I was little. It usually came on between two of my favorite cartoons , Dexters Lab and Courage the Cowardly Dog. In those days I didn't like it much cause it didn't make much sense to me. Only reason i watched it was so that i didn't miss Courage. Now fast forward to 2014.I watched the show from the beginning and realized how good and genuinely entertaining it is. It feels a lot like the show Community. The jokes are subtle and there are bizarre stories often in epic proportions. It really feels like a show for mature audiences with kid friendly atmosphere. If only this show was created in the 2010's it would be in the same pop culture status as adventure time. Seriously don't miss this.A must watch show. Brilliant. Bloo ftw
asaloverboy7 I love this show. Mac is a good boy- bright, sensitive, and a little shy. His imaginary friend Blooregard, or Bloo for short, is mischievous, self centered and lazy. But they're the best of friends. Mac's mother insists age 8 is too old to have an imaginary friend. She means well, but Mac and Bloo refuse to part. So Mac secretly brings Bloo to Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, where many other colorful imaginary friends live because their creators gave them up. The other friends are hoping to be adopted by a new kid, but Mac doesn't want anyone to adopt Bloo if he's to live there. So Madame Foster, for whom the home is named, agrees to a deal with Mac, that as long as he visits Bloo every day, Bloo will always be his and no other child will ever be able to adopt him. So now Bloo has a new home, makes new friends, gets into new mischief, and still sees his best buddy Mac every day. This show comes from the creator of another Cartoon Network favorite, "The PowerPuff Girls". I recommend this show to anyone!
lonzocummings In 2004, I liked it. Then it became very stupid. It suggests that kids are brainless. It insults children. Cartoon Network used to be great. One of the shows I liked was Hamtaro. It did manage to be interesting and imaginative in its approach to children programming. The show (Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends) is like putting 20 spoons of sugar in your Sprite. It seems as if today's television producers are only interested in making money, rather than engaging the imaginations of children and making money! Lately, my children are tuning in to the old shows (60's) to find something interesting to watch. Perhaps, in the absence of originality, for television to look to its past and recycle children's programing from days gone by.
