ashlynna58 I enjoy watching your show as it reinforces my feelings that we try our best to buy "Made in America". I would like to see you do a piece on Classic Leather. It is one of the last companies that still makes it's furniture in the time honored tradition. Their frames are still made in the US and exposed frames are still hand carved in the US where most companies are having everything made off shore. Please check them out. I think once people see what goes into making the furniture they will appreciate it and pay to have it "Made in America". Classic Leather is the oldest Leather furniture manufacturer in America, and is still family owned and operated.
commoncentsphoto I have been a fan of John Ratzenberger ever since I first saw him in the role of Cliff Clavin on Cheers. In the episode shown tonight, March 28, 2005 the final story was shot just about 15 miles from my home. His story on Comm-scope hits home. I attend church with many employees of Comm-Scope and I have some relatives that also work for them. It was good to see a local company make it on his show. Next week, April 5th he will have an episode shot at a hot air balloon factory located about 20 miles from my home.It is good to see what we Americans can accomplish in this modern, hi-tech world. We have the best workforce on the face of the planet. Period.Looking forward to continued episodes. Keep up the good work, John.WayneShook2
Hawaiian_Mad_Dog John Ratzenberger makes this show unique. It's great for TV...nice to see what really makes America special...the people behind the scenes of every great product or idea made in the USA (alot of nostalgia here). John doesn't leave out anyone...everyone's important in this show. His genuine personality and sincerity comes shining through...along with his sense humor...I would love to have him as my neighbor!Great Job Discovery / Travel Channel...and Thanks to Reader's Digest! I hope this show's on for a long time...I never miss it...makes me feel good to be an American and instills good feelings about the people who live and work here. Nice to see hardworking people get credit.Watch it..if you haven't...this is reality TV.
jbradshaw Made In America is a truly unique show. John Ratzenberger travels around the United States to visit factories that create some of the more iconic products in the United States. The production of Jack Daniels Whiskey, the story behind the Howard Johnson motel chain, and even the story of John Deere and their production of farm equipment are all featured.John Ratzenberger's extremely likable personality make this show very down to earth and humble. If you want to check out the products that help make the United States great, be sure to tune in. It airs on the Travel Channel every week. This is one show that I hope stays on the air a long time. Kudos to the Travel Channel!
