borowiecsminus In fact, second only to "Bojack Horseman" and "Friends."This show, while it is a situational comedy, defies the usual sitcom. In most such shows, particularly family shows, all is well because all ends well. This show has no such structure. The family is dysfunctional beyond measure and only twice in the entire series is the family getting along. Twice out of 151 episodes. This show leads me to believe that Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek are two of the funniest people in television. Both have equally funny antics, and while the cast of the boys is also good, it's really the parents that make the show so gut-bustingly hilarious. The show has everything you could want in a comedy: episodes that are critically-acclaimed (Bowling, Billboard, etc.), episodes that are just plain hilarious (Living Will, Malcolm Defends Reese, etc.), and episodes that are both (Blackout, Graduation, etc.). The only problem with the show is continuity between episodes; often dialogue in one episode will contradict dialogue in another episode. But in a 7-season sitcom, that's hard to avoid.Other than that, the show, pardoning a few slapstick episodes, is practically flawless. The humor is always clever and frequently insightful, the characters vivid, yet flawed... it's like a drama in a comedy.A Televisual Masterpiece.
Alyssa McClain This show may require one to have an acquired taste or certain type of humor, but it is absolutely hilarious. Amazing how a show can be entertaining to preteens and adults alike. One of my favorite episodes would probably be when Francis deemed himself as an alcoholic and invited Lois to his AA meeting and everyone was afraid of her b/c Francis made her out to be a monster. In the end, it turns out he's not even an alcoholic. He exhibits every symptom except for the abuse of alcohol. Then Piama goes 'How was I supposed to know he wasn't an alcoholic, he seems messed up to me!' Priceless show I will always come back to. Definitely give brownie points to people I meet that love this show also.
kashyap-skash My feeling are generally extreme but this is one best written and worked out TV shows I have watched. Each episode starts off with a quirky incident which are really witty and funny. It lasts for over a 2 to 3 minutes only. They being able to come up with something quirky in every episode for 7 seasons is definitely a achievement in itself. They were able to maintain consistency in the script and make us relate with each of the characters to such an extent that we attach ourselves to their fictional day to day schedule was a amazing achievement. I love this series and would never get bored even if I have to watch it altogether again at a stretch on any day!
MM Mackie Words won't even make a dent in how amazing this show is. Out of all the shows I have watched in my life time (15 years) Malcolm in the Midlle the by far the best show ever created. I can't even begin to say how hilarious this family is. Reese is so dumb and makes the most retarded comments ever and the things he does to "torture people" and how he laughs at them is more than funny. Malcolm being a Krelboyne because he is a genius is pretty funny, but all the things he does in that class and at home are a non stop laughing trigger. Hal their father who plays in Breaking Bad is really something. Hal seems to always have fears of something or the urge to do something and there is a specific face he makes that no one else in the world can do. He is the best TV father. Now with Lois she is the funniest mom I have ever seen on TV. She yells at the family like their is no tomorrow and she knows everything. Lois is the mom that is ALWAYS RIGHT and she has eyes everywhere. So summed up they all make you laugh so hard your stomach hurts....but wait...of course I could never forget the funniest little boy EVER. Dewey, well words can't even explain how hilarious Dewey is. He is the little one that is picked on all the time and lied to by his brothers. He is adorable to when his brothers are vicious towards him it is quit funny. Dewey is the best and Dewey will make you laugh so hard you will pee... please watch at least one episode and i gaurentee you will be hooked! It may be an old show, but it is a hell of a lot better than a lot of shows now adays.
