Movie Nuttball Every week I would watch TNT's Monstervision hosted by Joe Bob Briggs (John Bloom) and Renner St. John. Joe Bob was a hilarious host for this show! I just couldn't stop laughing sometimes when he would joke about movies. The show was a couple hours long and he would have some of the most outrageous low budget films ever. His hosting was really good and he has such a cool look. Renner St. John was OK as the mail girl but I loved it when Joe Bob would pick on her. This was truly on of the most exciting, funny, and special weekly program and its a shame that this great show is no longer airing. It was a real classic program and that in My opinion there will never be another one like this! If you have a video tape or can some how watch this show do it because I strongly recommend it!
reider49 Monstervision was a great show hosted by Joe Bob Briggs. JB would comment on the movies playing, usually 2 every Saturday night. Joe Bobs comments included little known trivia and behind the scene facts about the featured shows. Hopefully another network will pick up Joe Bob Briggs. Email me if anybody has shows on tape and would like to trade from my over 80 shows.
yenlo TNT pulled this great Saturday night show off the air and now they have a big hole there. Hosted by Joe Bob Briggs it generally featured films of a creepy nature but also included Sci-Fi and even at times comedies. Joe Bob of course made the show what it was with help from his various Monster vision mail girls. Once there were a number of Monster movie programs that featured colorful hosts like on this show. Now with this one gone it looks like that complete era may be done for good.
Weirdo-x I've been watching this show for three years now, and I simply love it because of how funny Joe Bob Briggs is. In fact, he's my idol now.Every Saturday night I tune into TNT to watch the cheesy flicks he hosts, and I like only SOME of the ones he plays. My favorite segments in his show are when he reads some fain mail on the air with Rusty the Mailgirl (because I send some in) and when he does the Drive-In Totals for a film he shows. I hope that "Monstervision" remains to be the longest running television series, as long as everyone's favorite funny man stays as host. It wouldn't be the same without him. You can also catch Mr. Briggs make cameo appearances in films such like "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2", "Casino", "The Great Outdoors", and "Face/Off".Right next to Howard Stern, Joe Bob Briggs may top over the classy radio DJ as the "King of all Media".
