moelissanc-68688 ITS A LITTLE DRY AT FIRST BUT IT GETS BETTER AND BETTER. IT COULD HAVE A LITTLE LESS DRAWN OUT UNNECESSARY CLIPS BUT I'M SURE IT'LL COME BACK BETTER THAN EVER!
kourouklik Nice "popcorn" show....Some good acting and some very bad...Tried to understand what was happening almost through out the show...A lot o scenes started off very promising and ended in disappointment...like someone had a great idea and then lost it...and didn't know how to continue...Styles's wardrobe terrible..Fire the costume designer for sure..Her clothes were "out of the rack" and not at all a billionaire's style...Three children that looked like they all had a different father...And by the way..when you end a season you always put something intriguing so people can't wait for the next...not this time with Riviera...Tip for the scenario-guy.."Dude, watch Shonda Rhimes's shows..you could benefit"..
imdbusrr Three disclaimers: 1. I have nothing but admiration for Julia Stiles' talent as an actor. 2. Because of the aforementioned, and really because of the acting cast generally, I'm glued to this series 3. Dmitri Leonidis deserves special mention for succeeding in conjuring a fictional character who is literally unsurpassed in my experience for annoyingness. What a dick. Having said that, for real-life tools, Paul McGuiness has to take the gong/hammer/a good whack, anyway, for bastardising a production that should have been very special. Maybe he thinks that offending and disappointing one or two people such as Neil Jordan for instance, is trivial in comparison with the numbers of 'ordinary' viewers who may be non-offended enough to part with $. The problem is that this 'ordinary' viewer is cringing. It's genuinely mortifying hearing some of the dialogue. It's throwing me right out of the experience, reminding me that there are many idiots in the world and that quite a few of them manage to get to places where they can do real harm- in this case to the screenplay/script/whatever you call it when it's a TV series. I'd rather be writing happy positive reviews of stories I love, but the waste of talent here has me sad, and there is a need to make it known that this isn't good enough. Once again, it has to be said: If you're a smart producer, you'll be able to make a thing of high quality that the masses will love. FIND A WAY NEXT TIME, DAMN YOU.
m-arsic0708 it started hot, continued lukewarm and ended ice cold. and makes no sense. why bother with all the intrigue, mean Russians, corrupted cops, wicked ex-wife, spoiled kids and downright stupid current wife, when all of it is just a prelude to a deflated confession that has absolutely nothing to do with almost everything that happened prior to it. BTW. the first two episodes and Lena Olin are the reasons for not rating the show 1.i do understand that another Bolton role will be hard to get for iwar, but was this rubbish necessary? as for the lifestyle, apart from the villa and cars, my wardrobe looks much better than Julia stiles'. if it is the topic you are interested in, watch deceived with Goldie hawn. if it is lifestyle, watch dynasty and original version of Dallas. this show could benefit from someone like Joan Collins.
