Every second of every day, millions of Americans are caught on CCTV. Living in a surveillance society means everyday actions are caught on camera, mostly of honest citizens going about their daily lives. But a few are guilty of unspeakable crimes. Video doesn't discriminate; criminals also end up on film. See no Evil is a groundbreaking series that presents dramatic stories about how real crimes are solved with the aid of surveillance cameras. Police reveal how CCTV footage has unlocked the answer to cases that otherwise might have remained unsolved- leaving dangerous killers at large. The series features real footage and dramatic reconstruction, combined with first-hand testimony from police, witnesses, and families.

jacqui_751 I have only watched season 2 on Netflix and I love the stories chosen. They explain everything really well and use family and friends to talk about the victim. However the downsides are that they play the footage over and over which is a bit excessive and the dialogue is very repetitive. The amount of time spent on telling us how great footage is and constantly referring to the security cameras is over the top. I found myself after a couple of episodes getting frustrated because they seem to state the obvious and repeat the same lines.
fortionat1 The show See No Evil is like all shows on ID Channel.. loaded with commercials and very slow telling the story. See No Evil has some interesting real life tales of people that have gone missing or murdered and sometimes caught on camera. But each show is so tedious.. even without all the commercials they could tell the story in about half the time. I've watched a few of these and at the end I can't believe I wasted so much time watching something I could of looked up on the internet and read what happened in 2 minutes. And the filler.. the stuff they put in there between solving the case sometimes is just mundane, like one expert saying "video evidence is really good... tells facts" Duh. I would really like this show if they would edit it down to a 1/2 hour show.
tamaresque The stories are interesting, but the production values are awful. The whole premis is based on breaking cases by using CCTV records, but you have to watch each piece of featured CCTV at least four times, and each time you do there is an awful noise, like a dead fly buzzing on a wooden floor, and faked-up interference all over the screen. And then there's the script - talk about stating the obvious! Not only do we see the recordings at least four times, but we also get a description of what we are seeing. And then the same facts are stated over and over again. I managed to watch all of Episode 1 of series two, but no matter how much I wanted to find out what happened to Kenia in Episode 2, I was shouting at the screen too much to be able to, so I gave up.
Jonathan Breedon This show does an amazing job at getting the actors to look like the people depicted in the show. The locations look authentic and so does the acting. It is also done in such a way to where it is not distasteful or disrespectful to the real victims. It keeps you guessing till the end who the killer is. It digs deep into the story line and provides proper background so viewers are able to follow easily while still being entertained. If you're a fan of real mysteries and re-enactments then this show is perfect for you. So sit back and enjoy the amazing hard work and show your respect to those who were lost in these episodes.
