alexandrasgray I legit made an account just to warn others o not even waste your time. This show is terrible. Bad acting, horrible music, the stories are totally unrealistic and predictable and the characters are hard to relate to and completely unlikable. The most ridiculous scenes of the first episode where...The scene where the protagonist see's her dad in the hospital. I literally busted out laughing. When the dad says "mija...but we dont have time...let me sleep..." flutters his eyes and bam he's asleep." The moment when Ben gets yelled at by the other firefighter that "you could have killed him! What were you thinking wanting to give him Heparin in the field!!!!!!" Like really, since when are firefighters able to give Heparin? He got all worked up over a hypothetical situation. I couldn't watch anymore and turned it off. Wish I could get my 30 minutes back...
brad-cosworth I'm not meaning to be sexist but in this show Females rule the whole of Seattle! and all reality is warped, the drama ensues from buying safety boots to cleaning the trucks! What an adventure! Let the poor cgi and even worse acting fill your tv screen with plot lines that grip like wet noodles to a chopstick! I can't wait to find out what happens next?!! Will some girl who's the boss screw another workmate? Will the other girl beat down some guy without smudging any makeup while in a room full of cgi smoke?! I just can't wait for the politically correct warning bell that has a female saying "alert, fire" in a sexy voice go off next!!!!Utter junk, a real insult to the men and women who are in emergency services.
itsmetif Breaking news - this is not a documentary. For anyone looking for a highly realistic show about firefighters or paramedics, police or doctors, this is not the show for you. This is a show designed to entertain not inform. It is a spin off from Grey's Anatomy so you're looking at the same level of melodrama that has kept that show on air for 13 years.I have thoroughly enjoyed every episode of the first season. I have loved the charater development and the interactions between the characters. I wonder if some people have an issue with this show because it features so many strong female characters and they feel uncomfortable with the concept that women are people too and highly capable of doing the same jobs as men. Sometimes they even do that while other women also occupy positions in the same department. Shocking, I know.If you're looking for something not too serious to entertain you then this is a good option. While I wouldn't take it too seriously it does touch on a few important issues and there's a few tearjerker moments. Can't wait for season 2.
kaoko I really wanted to like this show, since I'm a big Chicago Fire fan. But the initial plot device, the in house competition for captain, is so implausible that I just want to cringe every time they come back to it. The previous captain promotes his own daughter on a whim so she can jump up 2 ranks? Not happening in the real world. Any big city would have protocols in place for any promotions, and the union would be all over this. And I don't understand how, given that the creator is a woman, she always manages to create likeable men but horribly unsympathetic female characters. It sets the stereotypes of career women back 50 years to present them all as badasses at work, but as petulant irrational harpies in their real life. The same has happened on Grey's over the past few years. We started that show with strong amazing women in Bailey, Meredith and Christina. Only to sub in Amelia, April and Jo who treat the people in their lives horribly. I love the style of the shows, but give us some women we can admire and would actually want to spend time with. The women in this fire house are just terrible people and their acting skills aren't helping any. The actor playing Warren is making everyone else look bad when he is on the screen.
