sadak7599 Simply this is a great show with all the ingredients: 1- The "journey of the hero" narrative; 2- Lovable characters; 3- Really funny supporting roles, jokes and situations; 4-a lot of adventure and imagination; 5- Great acting, storytelling and rhythm. 6- smart script to engage people from kids to adults. 7- The consistency of the del Toro universe, with some familiar places and designs. When I finished the last season, I began to watch it again. This is not common!. The only flaw I can remark is the loss of momentum in the last season, in which the script is showing some fatigue, coincident with the long expected troll-humans clash. The third season finish with less freshness and a more conventional tone.
lunalovitt Originally when I saw the promotions for this show, I was skeptical. But then I started watching it and it was actually really good. I liked the characters, I loved the character designs for the most part, and I thought it was a very original concept and story. Jim isn't a cliche hero. He does fit some tropes, but other than that he's pretty well-rounded and likable. Toby comes off as funny instead of annoying, something that surprised me as I got deeper into it. The trolls are funny and unique as well, and balance out the rest of the cast. But Claire... Holy crap I've never done a quicker 180 turn on my feelings for a character. At first I thought she would be kinda cool. Before she knew about the trolls, I thought she had potential to be a cool character that could add something new to the team and be an interesting love interest to Jim while still holding her own story line and kicking butt. However... She is now a huge Mary Sue and is bringing down my enjoyment for the show. Her ability to just master everything she attempts, like troll language and the shadow staff, is irritating. Not to mention she comes off as bossy and arrogant. I really don't like the turn she's made and I hope things change in the future regarding her development.
Sliferskydragon I never write reviews but this time I felt I had to. First of all I am 21 yo male and I believe this is one of the best shows overall I have ever seen. The story is great, the characters, the dialogues, the villains, the graphics all are great. Please do yourself a favor and watch it. Don't be fooled by the fact that it looks like a kid's show. Well it is also a kid's show but believe me it can be watched by any age. Especially if you are into cartoons this is a must watch. It is fun, it is heroic, it is beautiful and it balances the screen time of battles, storyline and character development just perfect. Finally by ending in 3 seasons it is a fully complete story with no question marks left. Just press the play and let this epic journey begin
pokemondarkside This series is just great from top to bottom (Except for a few parts) the animations good, the story is great, the character arcs are simply amazing! There are a few things that could use explaining but they are usually minor simple things nothing too huge. Me and most likely a lot of others can appreciate this series use of mythology and lore, using the Norwegian troll lore more than anything else really.
