jimy23 I will always take Nick MCclary and his Baseball glove over Timmy Turner and his fairies any time. Timmy is a selfish jerk who never learns no matter how many times his selfish wishes go to far. Nick on the other hand has a conscience he uses his wishes wisely sometimes Nick will make a bad wish out of anger or not thinking like when he wished for new parents and got a pair of thieves for Parent but mostly uses good judgment and realizes his fault if he makes a bad wish With Timmy his godparents are his moral guardians and he has rules to follow If Timmy had Nicks glove that Dons't have rules all hell would break lose he'd be like Anthony Fremont in it's a good life. Nick will turn into a hero to do good and fight robbers Timmy never would do that this is a nice cartoon I still remember when it aired on NBC Fairly Odd parents ripped off some of it like both have a bully named Francis I also caught it when it was on Toon Disney.
torwell This cartoon begins with a breathless expository monologue delivered by Macaulay Culkin, as all cartoons should. You see, Nick's magic wish-granting baseball glove works once per week, and each episode revolves around one wish. The wish always wears out before the episode is over. The problem with the way this is written is that NICK NEVER CONSIDERS THAT THE WISH WILL WEAR OUT. It's as if he were new at this. The physics depicted here are much wackier than those in Home Alone. The characters have very unrealistic reactions to Nick's trickery as he tries to worm his way out of the wacky zany situations. Usually there's a musical montage of wacky chase scenes with a song written especially for the episode. And most importantly, Nick tends to look at the camera and scream something along the lines of, "I'm termite snacks!" Just take one animal from Column A, and one sort of food from Column B. "I'm eel sauce!" "I'm locust eggrolls!" "I'm Leviathan Raoul!" (I'm not going to try to work an Iron Chef reference into this.)By the way, before sending this I went back and replaced every instance of the word "Kevin" with the word "Nick". Pretty neat stuff, huh?
PJS-5 A fascinating story of a boy named Nick Mclarey who has this interesting experience with a wishing star that has lived on his Baseball glove, while he & his friend Daryl are basically the human-versions of "Goofy & PJ of Goof troop",although their are 2 problems, the fact that Frankie(the bully) gets mad when you call him by his full name (francis),& the rather gratuitous plot change of Nicks wish wearing out at mostly the most inopportune of times during the episode,(but then again many show have that kind of problem in somewhat-sort of different ways),over then that its very original & interesting.
