Reviews

ElessarAndurilS Witches of East End is a show that after streaming you have NO QUESTION why it only lasted two seasons. While if desperate to stream a show, and you like the genre, it isn't good but it will pass the time and not so bad you can't stand it. Not a glowing endorsement, not meant to be. The characters are good enough and the story has its interesting points, but no question this is B level show. In the midst of constant horrific events, the characters are both a little to happy and way to naive; especially those who are centuries old. Way to many people get killed without any plausible link between their deaths and any concern. Like when Dash's (good name for handsome warlock) mother gets thrown into a furnace and burned up in season 1 finale and at the start of season 2 she is declared as having committed suicide. A lot of things like that where there is no logical path from point A to point B and the audience is just supposed to accept it. Rich woman in biggest mansion in town disappears and it is assumed a suicide? Not in any world. There are some good points, but a lot of obvious plots that should be obvious to the centuries old Princess but she is continuously oblivious which gets old fast. I forced myself to watch season 2 to its conclusion just so I could be sure that a) they left us hanging and b) my assessment to point held true.Watch if you REALLY need something to fill the gap, but keep your expectations low. Even Vampire Diaries season 7 and 8 are far better; setting the bar pretty low.
lia00027 This show took me by surprise for the 1st season, the show was telling a lot from witches' life in modern days flashback also in the old days and triangle love between Freya the heroine with her fiancé and his brother. On the 1st season the story still focusing to find the enemy which caused the family troubles. However on this season 1 which the ending left cliff hanger for season 2 the story is rather predictable but it still practically enjoyable to watch. On season 2 everything changed to the worse, the story was becoming worse and complicated, good character like Dash Freya's ex-fiancée was slowly showing his darkness side and using his magic to his advantage. Not just that the never ending bad and boring love story between Freya- Killain was kept on dragging, funny is I don't like Freya and Killain even thought they both were possibly the kindest characters here but they also the stupidest characters throughout the show. We could see new characters appeared then the the plot was twisting in a way where me couldn't handle to watch it any longer even though I braced myself to watch the ending. So basically season 2 is not worth to watch since I am rooting for Ingrid-Dash but this 2 were showing changes from their good side and it's like it's always impossible for them to be together especially with all the problems surfaced periodically. The producers and the writer instead of showing a good show giving the audiences boring twisting plot with non-sense time consuming for each episode.Maybe most of the show's fans are angry when the show got cancel but I totally understand the reason since if it continues then the story will become much more complicated and I hate Dash turn as the bad person whereas I still blame Freya and Killain for everything happened to him. Don't blame me for rooting to more mature, secure, and handsome guy like Dash instead of useless and brainless Killain!
paulamoon36 Not since "Charmed" have I enjoyed a supernatural show that is specifically targeted for women. The blend of comedy, dark plots, family tension, romance and supernatural activity has me enthralled: it is pure escapism and this is what a TV show should be about. A story is told and it should involve the viewer completely. The actresses and actors are well matched and the writing is solid enough to show continuation in the plot lines. The complexity of all the character interactions are full on and one would hope that as new elements are introduced, old links are tied up properly. I will hope that this great series continues for another few seasons at least. The enjoyment factor is a good 10/10 for me!
Gaby Nassar (finaldestination-g) Well I waited for the second season to debut before I write my review and I wasn't disappointed! This show is one of the very rare shows that are absolutely flawless. While some are describing it as a rip off of "Charmed", well whether it is inspired by it or no, it doesn't matter because this show succeeded on one level "Charmed" failed, which is the 0 boredom tolerance policy.I remember skipping through "Charmed" first season's episodes because some are just dull and plain boring which I never did in this show.Plus "Witches of East End" succeed in a way others failed miserably which is keeping it interesting and eventful for a longer period than just the first season which this show accomplish and I witnessed in the first two episode of season 2.Talented hot actors, great story-lines and lovable characters make this show a complete package of greatness, and it deserves to go on for more than just two seasons.
