Michael Ledo Frank (Daniel Bonjour) lives the American dream as a strip club owner and cocaine dealer. He has an innocent white bread girlfriend Ashley (Cinthya Bornacelli) who attends college and stays separate from his work. Frank has a partner Eddie (Gianni Capaldi) and Frank desires to take his operation to the next level where he works for Vincent (Vinnie Jones). Unfortunately his crimes do not go unnoticed. He is being followed by DEA agent Maxwell (Dolph Lundgren) and associates. A dirty doughnut eating cop (Randy Couture) is added to the mix.The plot lacks depth and complexity. This is a straight forward crime/drama/thriller/action film. The talents of Dolph Lundgren are under utilized. Oh wait he does rough up a guy for information...only to brush him off and let him go. We needed Dolph for this? They could have used Betty White.The sound track was pretty decent and of course Vinnie Jones does a good job in his limited role. The main problem with this feature was that Frank, the main character, was not someone we could root for. About 1/3 of the way through the film he gives a useless narration on the drug industry and the economy which never really ties into the film.A lower tier rental. Dolph fans can skip this one and not miss anything.Parental Guide: F-bomb, sex, nudity.

M MALIK a new era has started & there are filmmakers out there the audience blames them for bad films but some blame actors should get too like Steven sea-gal,jean Claude van Dame & last is Dolph Lundgren these three guys are my favorite action heroes but they are making bad films,they produce some or choose a bad movie only for money,if they want they can make a good script themselves & stop releasing movies for 2 years make a big budget good film.but no this direct to DVD cinema is ruining the art i say.the plot of this film there is no way i am telling you its written go read yourself,its same & done many times before some guy was doing good & some guy ripped someone off or cheated or kill or smuggle or all the dictionary of overused words you will find here or vise versa.critics like a movie OK who are critics let me tell you they are either journalists having a job or they are very rich people with a lot of money & time they buy a lot of discs & watch tons of movies in theaters a regular guy don't have this much money.the cast oh please forget it its only Dolph Lundgren appearing in c grade films after universal soldier series.last year the expendables 2 came out which was a pretty bad movie from Stallone who is the biggest action hero in the world,it was a grade embarrassment specially for Jcvd fans.these people are talking audience for granted otherwise people will boycott them if this continues.there is no rush in this film its just a hush better watch rush hour films then this senseless action flick.My Rating For Ambushed 2013 is 1/10 another awful film added into Dolph's Career.Skipp it

This movie is marketed to make you think it is an action-fest with these three guys, but it is really a boring movie about 2 wannabe big shot drug dealers played by unknown actors. One looks like David Swimmer and the other looks like James Franco.This film actually played in theaters where I live and I wasted money seeing it.Camera-work is extremely shaky and amateurish looking. Vinnie Jones is hardly in it and the scenes with him are pointless. There is also a lot of pointless and contrived nudity, swearing, and poorly done scenes of people getting shot.This movie is complete garbage.

leonblackwood Review: Bad acting. Bad storyline. Total waste of time. I was expecting to see Dolph Lungren kick some ass against Vinnie Jones, but there hardly in the movie. Vinnie only says a couple of words and he's only in a couple of scenes, like Dolph Lungren who also got plastered all over the poster. Randy Couture is in it quite a bit, as the dirty cop, alongside the 2 awful main characters who over acted all the way through the film. By the end of the movie, I was just glad that it was over. I'm just loosing all faith in any movie that Vinnie Jones is in. Awful!Round-Up: From the beginning of this film it just seemed cheap and terribly made. I actually liked Dolph Lungren in the last 2 movies that I saw him in, but he was underused in this film and his lines wasn't that witty. As for the other actors, I haven't really seen them before, and judging by there performance, I doubt that I'll be seeing them again. As I wasn't expecting that much from the movie, I wasn't that disappointed, but I was expecting a little entertainment at least. I recommend this movie to people who like there crime/drama about drug dealers making a mess of there business. 1/10
