I enjoyed most of this movie. It was silly and ticked most of the boxes of a good slasher. However, every reveal falls flat in my opinion, and the ending can only be described as painful.

At the remote home of Muffy, her friends from college, many of them perverts who constantly make gross sex jokes, show up for a party. Unknown to them, they are being set up for the thrill-ride of their lives... and so are you, if you watch this 'till the end.Not only was this film creepy, but it was also hilarious, not the disgusting sex jokes but the way Muffy gets back at these dopes. As it turns out though, it was all in good fun.The soundtrack was great, the acting not too bad and the remote island setting perfect for a slasher film. If you like jokes, horror films and want a fun movie to pass the time, you'll love April Fool's Day!

This is a pretty funny and unpredictable horror flick about a group of college students staying at a friend's remote island mansion during the April Fool's Day weekend and finding themselves falling victim to vicious crimes. The movie starts off very slow with the college kids just cracking each other up with cheesy, unfunny and crude sexual jokes while waiting for their ferry to taxi. But, the excitement slowly begins after they arrive at the mansion and the practical jokes and nefarious activities mount. This all leads to some suspense and thrills as the character leads investigate the mysterious events about the house, followed by the usual screams and thrills. The acting was cheesy at times but not bad for the most part, especially for lesser-known actors back in the day. The plot and story are well-written and unique in a way that is not like the usual, and sometimes predictable, slasher flicks. Red herrings and twists and turns in the plot will keep you engaged and the climax will be something that is unexpected.Overall, not a bad horror/slasher flick - definitely one of the more unique ones.Grade B-

This 1986 horror film stars Deborah Foreman, Amy Steel, Ken Olandt, Deborah Goodrich, Griffin O'Neal, Jay Baker, Clayton Rohner, Leah Pinsent and Thomas F. Wilson. This tells about a group of college friends spending April Fool's weekend together. They begin playing jokes on each other until someone decides to play a deadly game of their own when each of them disappear one by one. Foreman (Real Genius) plays host & friend, Muffy, Steel (Friday the 13th 2) plays Kit, Olandt (Summer School) plays Rob, Goodrich (Just One of the Guys) plays Nikki, O'Neal (son of Ryan) plays Muffy's brother, Skip, Rohner (Just One of the Guys) plays Chaz, Baker plays Harvey, Pinsent plays Nan and Wilson (Back to the Future) plays Arch. This is a good 80's flick featuring a decent cast and good, eerie score by Charles Bernstein. I recommend this if you're into horror/slasher flicks.
