briancgardell Finally, a movie that makes me think! A nonstop ride, from our children's perspective. This movie shows what goes on behind the scenes. Our kids only tell us what we want to hear. Maybe as parents we should start asking more questions, and being more involved. Very well done, highly recommended. I like the way that the film was done, very clean technique, with many different angles. Characters were well portrayed throughout the entire film length. The dialogue was realistic and very well written. A must see movie for teenagers who feel lost, and don't have anywhere to turn. All aspects of this film kept my attention, and made me feel like I was watching the scene right in front of my eyes. It made me wonder if I really knew everything that goes on with my kids.
Donnie Cianciotto Awful writing, bad acting, and lousy directing makes this one of the worst movies I've ever seen...and I've seen a lot. "Look at me, look at me, I watched Clockwork Orange once and now I think I'm Kubrick!" is what this movie seems to say. You're not Kubrick, bro. This movie doesn't come close. It seems to have been written by a group of 12 year olds who never actually experienced adolescence who hero worship those kids who shot up Columbine. The dialogue is awful, the "roof moment" is some of the dumbest, self important baloney I've ever heard, and the kid who plays Ricky is about as believable as a talking rat. Watch this movie if you'd like to see a bunch of people in black clothing walking down the street very slowly while the camera shoots their feet because it's "soooo artistic!" Blech.
pinkkitty This movie wasn't exactly what I was expecting but it was compelling. I was interested in the characters' relationships. I think it really depicted high school well. It was very sad, which I actually liked because so many movies nowadays you watch and you don't really care about the characters, you don't really feel anything when you're done- it's just entertainment. But this movie felt very... emotional, but in a quiet way. Which is a good thing IMO. Maybe some people just want to be entertained when they see movies, but I want to feel stuff, I want to be pulled into the world of the movie. I really felt like I was in this guy's life. Also I really liked the soundtrack!
onefinesixtynine This was literally one of the worst movies I've ever had the displeasure of watching. It was almost as if it was someone's first attempt at making a movie. There's no plot, no beginning, no middle, no end.. just a weird kid who wants to be tough trying to play tough, and wanting to make his mark on the world through ignorance. Save your time and money on this one. There's nothing about the characters, just one kid who supposedly has mental issues but what are they? Don't know, but he's got a bottle of pills he shows everyone he doesn't take. The new kid moved there because of what? Why does the new kid even hang with the weird kid? It's not like he's got transportation or even a quick wit. I'm really not sure what to think about this other than I could have used my time better cutting grass with scissors or catching flies with chop sticks.
