philipryburn Really interested at the start of this. I felt the story progressed too quickly, and the characters developed at an unnecessary rate. Also... why kill off Tommy at the end?! What a waste, and an empty way to leave the show!!

bill501-2 I've rarely been so disappointed with a BBC miniseries. This is a romance, almost a romantic colony with most of the plot revolving around who is sleeping with whom tonight and the resultant conflict. About the only historical effort came from the costume department. But, Banished is not even a costume drama. I give it four stars only for some of the acting.

mvenkata_ramesh This series may not be a good one for the people who are in to the history, it may be misleading to those who don not have idea on history, but it gives an idea about History of Australia for those not in to history.Apart form that, it is not always possible to show "as it is" the history while reproducing the Movies and Shows. It is required to deviate a little bit but not too much, and introduce the romance, fun, foreplays, etc., bits to make it more entertaining. Other wise no will watch and no one will sponsor. One need to understand that.I have watched first season, to me it went well... Actions, Story is perfect, maintained Thrill & Kick through out the show. The Good script is always the one, which goes beyond the imagination of the viewers, that is it, it has got and it is more than enough to get 8 points. Sad it is cancelled, I don't see any reason to cancel this show.

jessief-48529 Now being viewed in Canada on Canadian Broadcasting Corp. Unfortunately the CBC has nasty habit of interrupting dialogue mid-sentence for commercial =more$$$. The remainder of scene is then deleted. Don't quite get the neatly barbered look of many characters and the structured hair mess of others. A $300 haircut looks VERY out of place after 5 episodes. The British ideal of 'holding down the fort' certainly displays English ideal of inability to assimilation to surroundings. "The supply boat will bring supplies to feed us." How many months do they starve before they explore for sustenance? The plot may lack continuity through out episodes though the female treatment seams to help gloss over inconsistencies.
