linda-d-simons I only found out about this movie yesterday while looking for other things that Eric Mabius had been in as I was watching Resident Evil. I saw the poster for it and thought it looked very "The Skulls" and after I read the synopsis, I went and watched it on YouTube and absolutely fell in love. This movie really makes you feel so many things for the main characters and Eric Mabius' portrayal of Shane was beyond convincing. Not only that but the fact that this movie is based on the true story of Ricky Kasso just makes it so much more meaningful. I am honestly recommending this movie to everyone I know and will be watching again as soon as possible as it has now become one of my favorite movies.
Pooey Pie I bought this movie truly based on the appeal of the cover, I watched it and it was one of the best films I have seen. My only complaint is that the main plot could have used a little more 5hit. Oh well, I enjoy the movie on a very high position. ALL HAIL ERIC MABIUS!!!!!! Satanism wasn't the basis of this movie, it was paganism. And I like that. Way too many cheesy movies about satanism, never about something real. Eric Mabius acted his very best in that movie, and I believe that was the reason I love the movie so. Scott Bairstow as the all American kid was extremely convincing. I would also like to thank the sick f'd up dude that wrote it, because he rocks. YEAH....All hail me. And Gibson, you are my b1tch. Snoogins.
SugarMalone An extremely slow and uninteresting portrayal of teen boy angst at its most irritating. Poorly executed and overwritten to the point that the film probably could have been cut down to one hour had all of the extraneous characters and repetitive dialogue been taken out. Add the fact that not one character in this film - including the protagonist - was the least bit likeable or relatable and you have almost 2 hours of my life that I will never get back.
pizowell Black Circle Boys is kind of the poor man's River's Edge. It started out with a guy in a new school trying to recover from the loss of friend. Along the way he comes in contact with Shane Carver. Leader of the Black Circle Boys. A group of satan worshiping dopers that want to start a band. Well it was kind of funny in a goofy way when it turned serious at the drop of a dime, DEAD serious. Bummer. Eric Mabius (Carver) gives a pretty good performance, but it really doesn't make sense. At the beginning it says it was based on a true story, but I think the writer or director made that up. Kind of creepy flick with some memorable and disturbing sequences. Sorry though guys, its no River's Edge. 6/10
