Shaneera Dilshan Actually when it is being considered about the Movie it is actually quite good & beyond my expectation. Anthony D'souza has done a horrible job in Blue (2009) but in Boss (2013) we see some good evolvements. I expected something cheesy acting like Khiladi 786 through this movie also. Actually Boss is better than Khiladi 786. I am a Martial Artist & Learnt many Martial Arts In fact I would like to depict the fact that Akshay is the reason that I learnt Martial Arts. He is such a passionate Actor. When it is considered about the Bollywood Film Industry of 90s there are only 2 Action Actors, who has got Actions worth watching those are Sunil Shetty & Akshay Kumar. While considering about the Sunil Shetty's State I can clearly emphasize the fact that Akshay is in a good state overally. When it is considered about this movie Akki's action is in good state but fighting has got some cable sequences which makes really boring to watch the actions. Actually Akshay has performed some decent sidekicks, Flying Kick & some decent Turn Crescent Kicks within the movie. Akshay is back in to action he looks seriously nice in this movie, but although he tries to gain his position as the action king in India he is not the king of action in India anymore now because Bollywood has got Vidyuth Jamwal who is a way much great martial artist than Akki. Now as well Ran Charan has also entered to Hindi cinema with Zanjeer. At least it would be better if Akshay can perform the action sequence without cable like he used to do in the past. So in the future we would be able to see some great competition for the Action Movies between these actors in Bollywood Especially I really appreciate the acting of Mithun he has done a marvelous job within this movie. Shiv Pandit acting is not bad. Ronit Roy's acting is awesome he is really doing a great job as the villain but it can be described that there is a certain lack of main Heroine in this movie. When it is considered about the story there is a simple story (Like a movie in the 90s). But it is better if they could add some more interesting moments for the movie (because after all it is 2013 not 90s anymore). Music is not bad, got awesome energetic theme music & got good dialogues (not the best but OK) Overally it is watchable. If you are a fan of Akshay you will like it. I would like to give 7 out of 10. If you are wondering whether to watch this one or not, go ahead make your move Watch it.
Ajit Tiwari Akshay Kumar has taken an oath to laugh at his own one-liners, do mindless comedies, do gravity defying action scenes, some songs by Honey Singh and all other cheap techniques. Every Friday there is a movie like this, Actors, Directors and Producers or for that matter all the crew members are taking the ingredients from Masala Movie template and cashing the receipts of money. There is something seriously wrong with our Film Industry because they have many movies on the floors; they are merely interested in good cinema. Akshay Kumar has done a great job but he is gradually diminishing his own image.'Boss' (Akshay Kumar) who becomes a mobster serving jail in his childhood. His father (Mithun Chakraborty) has parted ways from him and doesn't want to see his face again. Surya's younger brother Shiv (Shiv Pandit) is in police custody due and ACP Ayushman Thakur (Ronit Roy) abhors him, as Shiv loves Ayushman's sister Ankita (Aditi Rao Hydari). No Boss has to save his brother because blood is thicker than water. It is a remake of Malayalam movie 'Pokkiri Raja 2010', which itself a very bad movie. The writing is absolutely absurd because many things come and go without any significance. Akshay Kumar enters the screen after 30 minutes and gets the he is the only person on the screen. Jokes and punches are lame, forced songs give screenplay a hard time to manage the narrative.Sanjay Mishra & Johnny Lever have been wasted completely. Mithun and Danny do what is required. Shiv and Aditi love track never impresses as they both look indifferent. Shiv Pandit has done an astounding Job is "Shaitan" and he should probably refrain from such roles. The show stealer is "Ronit Roy" as a menacing and ruthless ACP; he delivers the dialogs the perfect body language. He is the only thing which sticks in the mind. There are some of the scenes which make you laugh. Otherwise it is really a headache to hear the overdone dialogs and emotional scenes.Overall, it the same movie that comes every Friday with different actors and crew.
Abhilash Mazumdar Boss is strictly a routine action+comedy flick which we have seen a thousand times in Hindi Cinema.... Anthony D'souza from horrible Blue(2009) to Boss(2013) has not evolved that much, Of course it is better than Blue but not very good...Boss is a story a boy who is hated by his father for his bad anger and it lead him to become a criminal and after all the melodrama about the hero and a villain...Story'Screenplay and Dialogues : Story by Farhad- Sajid is nothing to cheer about. Its the old routine drama we have seen. The Screenplay is rather engaging accept the unnecessary flashback scenes. It binds the audience well . Dialogue are also routine, sometimes out of the box like repeating" Apne ko sirf Paani nikalna hai" is irritating after sometime...Performances: Akshay Kumar is very good in emotional scenes. He emotes really well. But overall he is just okay.Ronit Roy is just exceptional as Ayushmann Thakur. He delivers a tremendous performance once again. But I felt maybe he should have a more scene presence. Shiv Pandit is just wasted. We have seen him in Shaitan and he was very good. But wasted totally here. Aditi Rao Hydari has nothing to do. She is Bad in everything she has done. Mithun Chakraborty has done a good work. He is a great actor and has shown his maturity. Danny is Okay.. Aakash Dabhade as Minister's son Vishal is very good Direction: Anthony D'souza has done a horrible movie before that was Blue. With Respect to Blue he has done a good job. But overall he is just a mediocre director. Overall, If u r a Akshay fan you can go for it . If u r not still you can go for it but at your own risk...!!!
ashi0072007 First of all the whole bollywood should be ashamed of themselves. especially akshay kumar and shahrukh khan. this movie sucks in every aspects. this is not a movie , this is a money laundering business. there is nothing exciting at all. this movie follows the same tradition of what is bollywood known for last 3-4 years. I don't understand is it the Indian crowd has gone mad or what. they just keep accepting movies like this. "Chennai Express" was the worst movie of all time and it still broke several records at box office. and I am damn sure this movie will do good business as well.and Mr Anthony why do you call yourself a director. it wouldn't be an exaggeration if I'd say I have lost my faith from Bollywood movies, actors, directors with one exception Amir Khan.please don't watch this movie. this actor should go to hell.
