This was a really fun ride from beginning to end... The only thing is , you have to go with the very facile fact that the coolest ruffians in the world whom all just robbed something do not carry a single weapon lol.... But that aside, the film really delivers, I was tripping in the beginning with all the hardcore flashbacks, I'm like are these going to amount to something in teh end or is this for the end or is this a matter of "we can so we do" . But it all did, in fact the flashbacks added to the rich texture of not only the characters but when we get to the end it brings all threads together and even adds to the obligatory monologue by the Antagonist....The Super dog in this movie is like Cujo and 'Man's Best Friend' with Ally Sheedy and every single scary dog movie in the world rolled up in one super hideous fiendish super -sonic destroyer ugliest terrible cur in history. But you actually feel for the dog as the tale unfolds, very well done... Plus the acting , the banter , the action sequences... all will serve to make this a really fun promenade around a dog park on a calm balmy day... lol

It's an entertaining and above the average last score-gone-awry movie. Unlike other such movies that include few sociopaths, the main three characters express at times humanity and lack of selfishness, especially Stacy (played by A Brody). The known actors Brody and Malkovich deliver our expectations from them.
I found the dog attack scenes too long, though maybe others will like them. To make a point or too pass time, the characters share typical and engaging biographical stories. There are tough images involving dogs. And yes, there's a goof-in one scene we watch from the perspective of a dog; however dogs do not experience the same colours as us.

Not your average thriller or crime movie. In fact, the film has the feel of a stage play about it. Perhaps because much of it is set inside a warehouse. In other words, the film is a decent drama. The unorthodox plot develops well and the cast does a good job with mediocre, stereotypical dialogue. The script weaves in some real moments of suspense almost making the film seem like a horror flick! The movie has more than its suspense moments. It has a solid story which may appeal to the 'critic' minded film-goer. It's a plot which can be interpreted at various levels (like a play!) . Despite its occasional predictability the movie makes it easy to while away 1.5 hours. After all, not all movies can be rated 8 or above?
