fareedzacharia Bunnyman is a throwback to the old school film making when starting filmmakers had to rely on imagination to make these kinds of movies, not millions of dollars. Bunnyman is an example of what can accomplished on a very limited budget, with limited actors on basically one location. The filmmakers know how to tell a odd yet compelling story with visually arresting imagery and apparently zero resources.
a_baron The reviews of this piece of rubbish are overwhelmingly negative. With good reason. Some people have suggested "Bunnyman" was inspired by "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". The similarities are apparent. Unfortunately, they are all bad. The victims are in an isolated area, no one else or even a telegraph pole in sight, and there is a monster on the loose, in this case one that has the appearance of an eight foot Bugs Bunny. One can listen to a lengthy piece of music or even a song in a foreign language and derive pleasure from same without even the pretence of understanding it. How much pleasure can one derive from watching an endless stream of torture, gruesome murder and the occasional rape? Not a lot, unless your name is Ted Bundy.
blarahsalazar First off let me get this off my chest, this film is NOT based on the true story of the serial killer. I can not stand when films say they are based on a true story, when they have nothing to do with the actual true life events. With that being said, I do rather enjoy the film. It has a fun sense of humor about itself. I would say this is the weird franchise that you should start with the latter films and work your way back since this is the worst of all the films. Still worth checking out. Bring on the Bunnyman !
will gonzalez I thought this was a really good movie, for the kind it was. The actors were very natural, and the Joe "redneck" guy/family was just the right amount of douche. I liked most of the cast members (except for the lame hunchback character), and I was really look forward to seeing what the Bunnyman character did next. Overall, I feel the film was well-written and tightly directed. A great combination of dark humor and gore make this a really enjoyable watch.I saw another review mentioning the title. I too was put off by the title Bunnyman, but then we are living in the age where every other movie is a comic book movie called Batman, Spiderman etc. so is Bunnyman that far off from this titles?
