magnumnash When Guerrero, a former champion wrestler, and kick boxer sneaks his way into the United States, an organized crime gang seeks to use his unique talents to their advantage. Will he fight in this underground mixed martial arts tournament against his better judgment in order to find his family? This film is a wild, Spanish language ride full of fight scenes, suspense, romance and a dash of comedy. It also deals with the issues facing many illegal immigrants who are often exploited for the gains of other people. If you are a fan of action movies, martial arts, or fight movies, this one is for you. Another fun, entertaining film brought to you by Art Camacho.
Jjax889 "Cage Fight" is about the underground world of cage fighting and the people who get caught up in it. The movie centers around rivals who choose fighters to compete, and the tactics (oftentimes dirty) they use to win. Within this world are the fighters, who are often undocumented workers, who get forced into these intense competitions. The central character of this movie, Guerrero, is one of these. He comes across the border in the trunk of a car looking for work, and looking for his family. The head boss Santoro sees that he can fight and forces Guerrero to fight for him in the upcoming Cage Fight. Will Guerrero fight? Will he leave and seek out his family? Will he survive? These are all questions that are set up by the plot in this entertaining MMA based film. I found myself hooked from start to finish and thoroughly entertained!
Martin Robbins "Cage Fight" follows Guerrero, an illegal immigrant from Mexico who crosses the border in the trunk of the car looking for his family. (He was deported without them knowing)After he arrives the corrupt crime lord Santoro gets him to fight in underground fights for him. He wins and Santoro selects him to fight in a Cage Fight. Guerrero agrees, but only so he can win enough money to find his family. The film is fun and reminded me of the Van Damme movie "Bloodsport" The action moves quickly and I found myself caring about Guerrero. There are twists that happen and characters are not what they appear. The fight scenes are well executed and all and all "Cage Fight" is a fun movie perfect for a Friday night!
SkyDogJr Let me say first of all, that if what I am about to write is considered a spoiler, you should thank me as it may keep you from wasting your time on watching this film.I saw this title at my local library and being a fan of cage fighting, I checked it out. First problem, it's in Spanish. It doesn't say it's a Spanish speaking film and that right there would have helped immensely! It doesn't translate well at all and is a distracting factor in trying to get anything out of the film. Second problem, the fight scenes are a joke. Nothing realistic about any of the fight scenes, the people fighting or for that matter, the people acting. Totally forced, nothing authentic about the acting as well. So, to conclude, my rating says it all. It was awful!
