encyes "Cremains" is a poor man's poor man's B-movie. In fact, it is a C, D or E-movie with poor storytelling, even poorer acting and filmed on your Uncle Charlie's borrowed video camera. The second vignette - "The Ride" for a better name - is the only redeeming piece in the whole film, with an interesting story twist and a single believable psychotic. The final catch ending of this celluloid schlock is disappointing and not even 4 minutes of nudity can redeem this movie that looks more like a high-school film project than anything that was financed. Don't waste your money buying this piece of lackluster horror. Rent it for fun, but don't purchase it for your collection as its "cremains" will remain on your shelf - covered in dust - for a very long time.
kerninmoon Well what do you expect? Art? It is a horror film that went directly to DVD (ok VHS than DVD) Well yes it is a B movie(well maybe a B minus)it holds a special place in my heart. Mostly because I know the director and my wife is in the film(i'll never tell which lady she is ;) The film was Steve's first real attempt at film directing and it does kind of show. Okay no "kind of" but it was filmed entirely in south Mississippi and has locations that no longer exist thanks to Katrina. Anyways don't expect an Evil Dead kind of first film but for all that well... I've seen a LOT of worse films (Razorblade Smile anyone?)Give it a chance and it'll give you at least a laugh. Oh and by the way the blond in the last story is no a respected local news anchor who prays daily that no one knows it is her(chuckle)
lthseldy1 I don't understand why they have this goof in a room being interrogated by a guy thats accused of cremating the wrong ashes and sending them to the families in whom these ashes are supposed to belong to sitting there telling stories that have nothing to do with cremating. Anyway, there are four stories that are told and the first one and the second being my favorites. I won't get into detail, it would take forever but by the end of the movie I just don't see why this guy is guilty after telling a few ghost stories, one reminds me of Jeffry Dahmer. It's an ok film but it's typical todays films.
bozotheripper This movie may not be for most, unless your a gore b-horror fan. This movie is split up into stories being told by a man whos fate is being decided. The first story was a short one about the serial killer killing a woman he had tied up. The second story involved sacrification of a girl who gets strangled by a snake. The third story was a serial killer killing a suicidal teenager boy. The fourth and one of my favorite is the lesbian vampire. And last and the best the ressurection gone wrong, bringing forth the cremator. His face is a rotting skeleton. He basically kills everyone in his bath. My favorite killing on his was the braincrushing sequence where he ran over the guys head.I thought it was a disappointment that he died by getting his head blown off. If you find this movie get it, the skeleton faced guy is on the cover of the tape and youll see that he looks wicked.
