Nigel P A family in fear of the man of the house, gangsters, lesbian sex, a pregnant girl and pretty soon, vampires - are all presented to the viewer in quick succession, interrupted by occasional fast-track shots of nudity, blood and gore. The acting is varied, the characters are thinly sketched - we realise the dysfunctional family have a vampire at their head - but there are so many people vying for attention, we're not sure who is who. Are we? Not to worry, however: I don't think clarity is the intention here.This seems to be deliberately made to fit the so-bad-it's-good mould. Clearly, the budget is clearly very low. Director Desi Scarpone keeps things moving quickly, and there are moments of tension. And if you can see through the cheapness of it all, there is occasional gory enjoyment to be had once the vampires are unleashed. But it isn't really well made enough to be the joyous blood spattered free-for-all it would like to be.

DaKwittik Crazy plot, good (considering the material) mixed with bad acting (listening to some of the "gangstas" urban accents fade in and out was particularly painful) and the last few minutes would be better left out (IMHO). That said, if you are a heterosexual male (such as myself), and find such things entertaining (as I definitely do), it contains bucketloads of gratuitous lesbian vampire sex with more genuine an attempt at a plot than I've seen before in such genre blending titles. Every time you see a beautiful woman in this movie (lots) it isn't long before she's intertwined with another one in inappropriate fashion. And if you can enjoy the occasional "B" movie but always wish they had more hot lesbian vampires then this is freakin' Citizen Kane. It's a touch strange - not too much blood for a vampire movie but an awful lot for softcore porn.This movie was totally enjoyable and it made me want to hi-five the director. I'll buy a copy if I see it in a video store for sure.

moviemanic07 A callous slumlord brings a vampiric infection home to his dysfunctional suburban family on the same night that some of his tenants show up to teach him a lesson. Much bloodshed ensues. When someone asks me to a recommend a genuinely entertaining low budget, straight-to-video gore fest, this is one of the few that gets the nod. Director Desi Scarpone and writer David Birke manage to deliver some genuine humor and chills in this film. It is energetic, nervy, and often gratuitous – in both gore and nudity. The father is a fun character who revels in his corruption and evil. He's one of the few memorable characters I've seen in a recent DV horror film. Is this film for all tastes? No. Is it a shining example of film-making? No. Is it always coherent? No. But let's face it, if you're reading this review, you must already be a fan of bad horror films. You could certainly do worse than this.

drhackenstine A bunch of gang-bangers invade a suburban home, where the father has contracted some sorta weirdo cannibal vampire disease. Everyone in the house, and a few others turn into flesh ripping sicko monsters. I was very in between with this film, and I still don't know if I liked it or not. I can say it was at least average. Gore and violence is aplenty in this picture. There are a lot of sick and twisted scenes through out the running time to keep fans of gory horror interested. Some are original. I like gore so I was able to get through it. However, everything in between is very irritating. The characters are all shallow clichés of every stereo-type thats been stuck into a stupid movie like this. And not one character in this is likable or original. Or believable, since the acting was completely low-rank. Plus, this movie is filled with annoying flash-cut scenes and flashbacks that usually take place in complete darkness, which only adds confusion to the story. The setting is boring and the creepy atmosphere that usually adds to a movie like this is non-existent. If the setting was better, or matched the tone of the horror on display here, this could have been better. Still, there is a high level of gruesomeness and a nice portion of T and A (which adds nothing to the story) to make this an okay view. Some scenes are truly sick. Features a father tearing a fetus out of his daughters belly, mother/daughter feeding frenzy on a dismembered body, gut-munching, chopped off heads, torn out hearts, etc., etc. Good gore, bad everything else. Catch it if it's on cable. Two Stars.
