Leofwine_draca DISORDER is a psychological thriller made on an indie budget. It's a film featuring one of the most unconvincing death scenes ever shot (the stabbing of the woman) along with a tired 'is he crazy?' type plot in which a schizophrenic is accused of murder and must try to work out who the real killer is. This is a film that doesn't keep you interested at all, it just looks and feels cheap and dull.
clorrah 'Tis truly a shame that some of the jealous reviewers here have never seen the movie yet feel the need to type a so-called 'review.' Isn't envy one of the 7 deadly sins? Darren Kendrick gives a poignant performance as David Randall, the psychologically disturbed lead character in Disorder. I was lucky enough to be at the premiere of Disorder in New York City at the Pioneer Theater and watching it on the big screen was a tremendous treat for me.The surprise ending was shocking yet at the same time, saddened me.I highly recommend this film - it's so much more than just a 'popcorn' movie....it actually makes you use your brain. Imagine that? My lobotomized friend, Peter R., wasn't able to enjoy it as much as myself, but I could tell by his slobbering that he found it captivating, none the less.Highly recommended.
rust37 I'm sure the whole project was about the script, which, thanks to some twists in last 10 minutes, helped to get the budget. Everything apart the plot was mediocre. As a schizophrenic-centered movie it didn't reach even one-third of the Spider's depth, despite all the chances. As a slow-paced thriller it lacked good direction, camera.. at least something, which could have saved it, so it didn't stand even to Identity. 1,5 hours lasted for me like twice longer due to repetitive sets, lack of ideas, and poor acting. There are plenty of movies exploiting "is it real?" riddle, and this one didn't reveal anything new in this genre except of how low in class can it go. Finally, it's so outdated as if the film was kept on some dusty shelf during last 30 years.Give it a try if only you have nothing more to watch or if you want to save on a medium-potency sleeping pill.
David James This has to be one of the worst movies we have ever seen, we rarely write reviews but this movie really takes the cake, lame, repetitive and largely the same theme over and over again. The acting skills were not too bad but it just didn't help the movie in the end. I don't understand anyone thinking this movie is riveting or full of suspense. We had to force ourselves to watch this movie to the end for the first time in our lives we actually threw this movie into the garbage and regretted ever having bought the movie it was money down the drain. The writers and producers of this movie should really go back to the drawing board and start over again, maybe next time they should consult with people like John Carpenter or Stephan King to get an idea of how a good thriller/horror should be done.
