trashgang What a flow those flicks have in the Guinea Pig franchise. This one is purely made for the fun of it but for me it wasn't funny at all. If you watch the end credits then you can see that they really had a big time making this and I must say that the effects really looked great and are almost the real thing but the story itself was a bit terrible. One man is so depressed and bored that he cuts himself with a razor. Thinking by slashing his wrist he is going to die suddenly he notices that he doesn't feel any pain at all and the bleeding do stops. Next try, a pencil being pulled through his arm and still no pain. Time for revenge. He asks a friend of him to come over who is now with his ex girlfriend. Once the friend comes over to the apartment the gore comes in. It's harakiri time and it's all well done but at the end of the day it's a big farce for me. The funny moments added just didn't work out for me. It do contains some gory moments and a tittie shot but overall I found it a bit lame.Gore 2/5 Nudity 0,5/5 Effects 4/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0,5/5
Paul Andrews Guinea Pig 3: He Never Dies is set in Japan & tells the story of an office worker named Hideshi (Masahiro Satô) who becomes depressed with his boring life, after not turning up for work for four straight days not one person from the office bother's to call him. Hideshi decides to kill himself, he picks up a knife & cuts deeply into his wrist but doesn't die & feels no pain. Hideshi quickly realises that he cannot die, Hideshi tries to kill himself but strangulation & even cuts his own throat but he continues to live. Hideshi phones his work mate & invites him round to his place in order to give him the fright of his life...This Japanese production was directed by Masayuki Kusumi & is the third entry in the notorious Guinea Pig series of films, a rather silly & pointless little tale Guinea Pig 3: He Never Dies is nothing special although it is different. A sort of demented sitcom with added gore nothing here makes any sense or is explained, why Hideshi cannot die is a mystery while his motives for chopping himself up once he discovers that he cannot die are also none existent. At a brisk forty minutes long (with three minutes of those counting for the closing credits) at least it's short & moves along quickly enough but there';s little here to engage the viewer apart from it's bizarre central concept which had potential but is wasted on a silly script. This doesn't really even feel like a proper film to be honest, just a collection of incidents that don't add up to anything. There are also scenes that bookend Guinea Pig 3: he Never Dies featuring an American scientist who rambles on about nothing in particular. After the first two brutal Guinea Pig films this is the direction the rest of the series went in, sloppy fake looking gore centered around a basic story.Guinea Pig 3: He Never Dies features a fair bit of gore during it's duration but none of it is particularly convincing or as brutal or harrowing as the earlier Guinea Pig films. Hidesh cuts deep into his wrist, he impales a pen through his arm complete with comedy sound effect, cuts his own hand off, slits his throat, cuts into his stomach & pulls his insides out & ends up as a decapitated head on a table. The special effects vary, the wrist slitting is quite impressive but the other effects are less so. Certainly not scary this tries to be extreme & nasty & is once or twice but overall I was quite unmoved while watching it.Filmed in Japan in Japanese you will have to sit through a subtitled version, not that the story makes any sense anyway & you could probably watch this without subtitles & still follow it easily enough. This looks really cheap, it looks like it was shot on an 80's camcorder & has a horribly flat & tinny video look to it. This is one ugly looking thing. The end credits feature a few scenes from the film played in reverse & then an outtake featuring the three main leads goofing around in front of the camera.Guinea Pig 3: He Never Dies is an oddball curiosity, a relic from another country & time that is unique if nothing else. I can't say I loved it but at least it's short & has a few gory moments. A bit of a disappointment really though if I'm honest.
Boba_Fett1138 The previous Za ginipiggu movies were all quite serious movies, featuring as much blood and gore as possible, without serving a purpose- or try to tell a story really. This entry picks a more light approach, making this movie more like a comedy than anything else really. It makes the movie a more pleasant and entertaining watch, which in return also makes this a better and less pointless movie to watch than its predecessors.Yes, of course the movie still features lots of blood, when a man tries to commit suicide in multiple different ways but fails each time. It makes the movie strangely morbidly funny. The guy is a looser, who can't even commit suicide right. It's comedy doesn't make its gore any less gory though, just more easy to handle. Its different approach of things makes this definitely a better and as well a more entertaining movie to watch. It's still a pretty pointless movie but it's fun nonsense.6/10http://bobafett1138.blogspot.com/
MovieManiac42 This is the third film out of the Guinea Pig series. Like the two previous films this film focuses on blood and gore with the hopes of disgusting its viewers. But unlike the first two this film takes the practice of presenting vile imagery in a new approach... A humorous one.The film is supposed to be a reenactment of an event that actually took place. Supposedly a man was found dead in his apartment. The scene looked so horrific, as his body was badly mutilated and it appeared as though the remains had been played with. But after further investigation no fingerprints, other than the victims, were found at the scene of the crime, and all the injuries were angled as though the victim did it with his own hands...This is the first splatter comedy to come out of the Guinea Pig series, and is a real joy ride. The film is very over the top, and I recommend it to any gorehounds out there.
