Woodyanders Super smart giant head Myron (smoothly essayed by J.W. Perra) psychically controls his three dumber, yet equally weird siblings. Low-account redneck grifter Lance (a perfectly slimy portrayal by Blake Adams) and his saucy lover Loretta (well played to the sultry hilt by the insanely gorgeous Jacqueline Lovell) concoct a scheme to blackmail the family out of their sizable fortune. Naturally, things don't work out exactly according to the plan. Director Charles Band, working from a quirky and creative script by Benjamin Carr, relates the enjoyably offbeat and intricate story at a snappy pace, neatly mines an amusing line in inspired idiosyncratic humor (the movie reaches its hysterical apex with a crazy torture session staging of the final act to Joan of Arc),and ably crafts a flavorsome hillbilly atmosphere as well as a pleasingly off-kilter tongue-in-cheek tone. Moreover, the enthusiastic cast has a ball with the bizarre material: Bob Schott as hulking dolt Otis, James Jones as the freaky Wheeler, Alexandria Quinn as the buxom, but dim-witted Ernestina, Gordon Jennison Noice as Loretta's scruffy biker husband Howard, and Vicki Skinner as sassy diner waitress Susie. Adolfo Bartoli's bright cinematography gives the picture a cool stylized look. Steven Morrell's bouncy score keeps things bubbling along. As a tasty extra plus, the delectable Mrs. Lovell bares her exceptionally fine body quite often and handles her sizzling soft-core sex scenes with arousing aplomb. A neat little oddity.
gavin6942 In an effort to steal one man's wife, the protagonist Lance has a family of freaks kidnap the man and he then blackmails them to keep the whole affair silent. Many and perhaps most people would write this film off as being incredibly stupid and a horrible movie. And maybe they're right. But I think there are some things in this movie that should not be overlooked.First, the sheer excess of nudity and sexual activity. While in most films it would be completely unnecessary, this film seems to realize how silly the whole thing is and continues pushing the nudity to become even more outrageous. Half the plot develops while the main female lead is nude.Second, the plot is more intricate than many might assume. The plot, as outlined in my first sentence, is nothing spectacular. But they made the plot deeper and more serious when they put in a series of "what if" moments that arise when we hear about he hiring of multiple lawyers for use in the blackmail plot. What could have been a simple device is now a battle of the wits.Third, the film seems stupid because the ideas are silly and the nudity overshadows the rest of the film. But actually pay attention to the dialogue and you'll see the writer is a clever wordsmith. Such phrases as "foul play of the permanent variety" suggest this man would have had a good contract working for "Buffy the Vapire Slayer".If you like cheesy horror films, this is one you shouldn't pass up on. And you know it's cheesy because it's Full Moon Entertainment (makers of the "Puppet Master" series). While the gore is at a minimum, the b-movie schlock is at an all-time high!
bluejeff12 This movie was not only disappointing to the horror/suspense film lover, it was disappointing to anyone who sees it. WoW. I thought that this film might be funny because the guy with the huge head. However, it was filled with long and drawn out conversation that wasn't needed. There was so much sex that I hate women and men now. This film was not only boring, but there was no substance. Wow. Wow. On to of all this, each scene looks like it was light from a single light bulb, and I think they used the same set for two different lawyers, a restaurant, and an airport. This movie is not for the movie lover who loves bad movies because in the end, it feels likes wasted time. See the movie!-party
Electric Rat This movie is awful, just awful. Someone bought it for me as a Christmas present because they knew I liked a good horror flick. I don't think they understood the "Good" part. All I can say is next year this person is getting slipper socks from me. Avoid this movie-- it makes you bitter. Peace.
