aaronrubalcava96 I signed on with google just to review this movie.. stay away from it !Why ? I'll cut some slack and make this short. 1. Doesn't have anything to do with the other movies, other than Kirsty being in it. 2. 30 minute mark, and pinhead makes a 4 second appearance. 3. 50 minute mark, the box is briefly shown. 4. Every 2 seconds, the main character either a)gets a headache or b)has a hallucination that's not interesting in any shape or form. 5. Movie consists of main character having a dream .. within a dream, within another dream. 6. The whole movie was a dream. Don't waste your time. If you love Hellraiser, and pinhead, and Kirsty and people torn apart by chains, while having a coherent plot, watch the first 2 movies. Avoid the rest of them.
badfeelinganger The original Hellraiser was an innovative, twisted bit of filmmaking that stands up today as one of the great horror films. This one is certainly a mixed bag as it's quite watchable and has lots of screwy visuals; despite the fact it feels a little off-kilter and for the most part doesn't make much sense. What we get in HELLSEEKER is a series of events, where some kind of violence or demonic activity occurs, only for Trevor to wake, finding it was all a dream, or a hallucination. Sometimes we have him waking up after he has already awoken. Wow, dreams within dreams. All these non-events are supposed to be deep, showing us that Trevor isn't a nice guy, there are some interesting ideas (and I really like the tone they set in the opening, but it doesn't last); but it's only really for fans of the series. The other films in the series are: Hellraiser, Hellbound: Hellraiser II, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, Hellraiser: Bloodline, Hellraiser: Inferno, Hellraiser: Deader, Hellraiser: Hellworld.
James Croxton A slight improvement from its predecessor but definitely not on par with any of the other films in the franchise. Sure it was great to see Kirsty Cotten once again, but the storyline was simply too "out-there" and simply not Hellraiser status.I guess my problem with this film is how it just confused the heck out of me. I am not sure if this was done on purpose or it was lack of experience by the director or even a screenwriter. Overall, this film is okay. I wouldn't say it is the worst installment in the franchise, but it is definitely far from the best.. well.. not even close to the top five. If you have some spare time that you don't care to have back, take this film for a ride and see how you like it. Maybe you'll feel different about it than I do.
gavin6942 A shady businessman attempts to piece together the details of the car crash that killed his wife (Ashley Laurence) and rendered him an amnesiac -- and left him in possession of a sinister puzzle box that summons monsters. So, here we go... a Hellraiser film with little or no connection to the other films. Sure, you say it is connected because of Kirsty Cotton and the puzzle box. But no, you are just falling for their trick. What we actually have here is two films trying to act as one. We have Kirsty and the puzzle box (again), and her making a deal with Pinhead. I think this went partially out of character for her, but basically stayed within the realm of the Hellraiser mythology. But then we also have a story of a man who cannot remember if he killed his wife or if she died in a car accident or what actually happened. And had his wife been anyone other than Kirsty, it still would have made a good story -- and, in fact, probably would have been a better one.Because when you mix them, here comes the problem: the twist of bringing up Hellraiser basically reveals the plot surrounding the husband to not really matter, therefore making the first two-thirds of the movie completely pointless in retrospect. Instead of two decent movies, they decided to breed and make one really terrible, ugly film. And that was just stupid...
