Jackass: Number Two director Jeff Tremaine claims that when the gang shot the film, they had enough footage to make two complete films. Jackass 2.5 is the footage that didn't make the final cut. It's hard to call a sixty-four minute film a "movie," but it's not like this is completely failed, throw-away material. We should be grateful we saw it in the first place.Jackass 2.5 is in no way the "failed" stunts. These stunts were passed with grade A idiocracy. They just weren't cool enough to get in the big film. Some of the stunts are very well done. I loved the "Mini Motor Cycle Mayhem" because I've always wanted to just completely trash a supermarket in a weird way.My favorite stunt is performed by the remarkable duo of Preston Lacy and Jason "Wee Man" Acuna. The gang paints Lacy like King Kong with interior black paint, and place him on top of a port-a-potty on top of a hill (he has a great fear of heights). So the struggle for him is to not get hit with planes and face his "fatty-fall-down-phobia." Wee Man, dressed like a women, is clinging to his side yelling "save me" while Lacy swats at remote control airplanes before falling. Hilarity, and really a surprise it wasn't cut from the right cloth.I liked when Bam flew a kite. And that's all I'm willing to say about that. Some of the stunts left me speechless. But with Jackass, that's something you have to expect.I enjoyed a lot of the interviews conducted with most of the cast. I sort of wish there were more scattered throughout the movie to make it longer. We get a lot of Tremaine commentary about the film, which I have no problem with. I'd like to hear how Jackass is made from the director's point of view.Jackass 2.5 is in no way made of "garbage" or "epic fails." It's made of, quite possibly, two of the best stunts ever performed in Jackass history. When it comes to comedy, Knoxville and the gang know how to do it the seemingly easy way.Starring: Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, Preston Lacy, Dave England, and Ehren McGhehey. This is basically the same as a DVD featurette for the movie "Jackass Number Two" with cut material and some behind the scenes footage. They say that they filmed so much material for "Jackass Number Two" and it was enough to make a whole new movie with and that's why they made "Jackass 2.5". But seriously, isn't this simply anything more than a simple way to cash in more of the success of the previous Jackass movies and TV show, one year after the release of "Jackass Number Two"? It already sort of says it, this movie is filled with material that didn't end up in "Jackass Number Two", which basically means it are left overs, so it isn't as good as the things you can see in "Jackass Number Two". Yes of course the movie will still make you laugh but it just isn't as good and solid as "Jackass Number Two".First they show an entire sequence and then next they tell us why this part didn't ended up being in "Jackass Number Two". Now this just doesn't seem right and actually quite pointless. Or at least it is for a movie. Like I said before, as a DVD featurette this would work out but just not like this.It's fun to see the cast and crew talking about the making of "Jackass Number Two" and telling how they got their ideas but once more, this would of course work out better as a DVD featurette.Yes, for most part this movie is still great fun to watch and of course still a must see for the die hard fans but even they shall most likely end up being disappointed with this product that you just can't really call a movie.6/10http://bobafett1138.blogspot.com/

If Jackass 2.5 serves as proof of anything (and that's a stretch) it's that some folks will go to any length to try and squeeze cash out of the movie going or in this case, DVD buying/renting public. On second thought, 2.5 also stands as proof that the Jackass "franchise" has one foot in the grave and the other teetering dangerously on the precipice.The original Jackass movie was an agglomeration of skits and stunts culled from the MTV television series, some of which were too ripe for even cable TV, mixed with new material, to form an unevenly funny broth consisting of outrageous stunts and pranks.Jackass Number Two tried to push the envelope even further, mixing some gut churningly gross material into an already uneven mix. The end result was a product that alternated between the hilarious and repulsive.The straight-to-DVD Jackass 2.5, sadly, is little more than a collection of material shot during the production of Number Two that didn't make the cut, and it shows. Essentially this release is nothing more than a glorified supplemental disc that should have been packaged with the sequel, but that wouldn't have generated anywhere near the same amount of revenue that releasing it on its own would, hence the existence of 2.5.The fact that there's virtually nothing funny in 2.5, as compared to the previous two releases, seems of little concern to the folks behind this film. The only surprise is that the DVD didn't come with a narration track that consisted of Knoxville and crew laughing their guts out while repeating the mantra "you paid money for this, SUCKER!" If you enjoyed either of the previous two Jackass films, you should definitely give this one a pass. If you loathed them, then move along, there's really nothing to see here.

First off, let me say that I'm a huge Jackass fan. I have been since the first episode aired on MTV in 2000. I remember seeing both Jackass movies in the theaters and loved them both. They were hysterical. So, when I heard there was a web-only release of a new Jackass film I was very, very excited.Well I just finished watching the film and, I must say, I was quite disappointed. When watching you must keep in mind that what you are seeing were scenes that wound up on the cutting-room floor from the second film. The stunts are kind of boring. The cast lacks their usual enthusiasm. And it looks like age, money, and fame have had their effects on the entire crew.When Jackass first started it was a bunch of guys who no one knew and and had no money. Just doing stunts for the fun of it. Now you watch and it seems like they're washed-up, old, and just out to make a few more bucks.I'm optimistic that the newly announced Jackass 3 will get back to the roots of the original show. But, as for Jackass 2.5, I was thoroughly disappointed.
