I truly held hope that this would be at the least, entertaining, yet it came up short from beginning to end. Some of his comedy shows have some funny lines at least. he's not even a decent actress. his humor is funny to grade-school boys perhaps, but you can't fill a movie script with one-liners and expect a box office smash. I would recommend spending your time elsewhere.

I have never seen the ' stand-up before but decided to see it because I really have enjoyed their cartoon on Animation Domination/FXX. However, after seeing it I must say that their act is DEFINITELY not for everyone. First, you have to be able to laugh at pot-head humor. After all, they are both self-avowed pot users and much of their humor centers around this. I am not offended by the notion of legalization of drugs but laughing at drugs isn't my thing. Second, you have to have a high tolerance for their slow, slow style...the style of two pot-heads! A few of the jokes worked well, many fell flat and the whole Richard Nixon angle just was unfunny, made no sense and went no where-- particularly with the cartoon at the end. Overall, I neither hated nor particularly loved it. There are definitely better comedians out there...but sadly there are many much worse!

A lot of comedians do have a recurring joke between specials that they may talk about for 5 minutes or so, but does this for the entire special. Its no wonder she resorts to stealing jokes, her only original joke is that he is a gross slut (his words). Hard to give this a good rating when these are also the same jokes during her other performances.... For a person working in a creative field i see no creativity, he has given critics so much ammo with this special.I have no more words, you will know what I mean if you watch it.

I did not laugh once. The whole hour. Yet he is good. I would go as far as compare him to George Carlin. If he is that good before 30, maybe he will go far beyond what Carlin did two decades later. I don't know. I will have to see it. But now, he is good. The tempo is slower, but his public is less used to his kind of thoughts. And Jerrod is good.Probably people misunderstand him simply because of a racist bias. You probably know the statement "these people all look the same." He is not Eddie Murphy. He is not Chris Rock. And he does not even try to be Eddie or Chris. And surely he is hard to grasp because George Carlin and Lenny Bruce were products of the 1970s. And Jerrod is for 2010s. Lenny and George were very hard to get back in the day, only 50 years later, with a few books read about the "golden days of comedy" and living in a far different society, sure, they are so obvious. There is nothing offensive in their shows, only a few rednecks might feel offended. Is Jerrod better? I don't know. I would like to look back 50 years later and I am sure at that point things are going to be far more clear.I did not laugh once. I was shocked people laughed in the audience. But it's comedy, so laugh.Contact me with Questions, Comments or Suggestions ryitfork @ bitmail.ch
