smcarter1966 KILD TV premiered at this year's HorrorHound Weekend, where it won Best Feature and Best Actor in the HorrorHound Film Fest and is currently making the film festival rounds, mostly those concerning horror films.D.C. Douglas (HorrorHound Film Fest Best Actor) plays Dr. Perseco, host of station KILD's Friday night horror movie program. But as the show progresses, Dr. Perseco and his crew discover that there is a killer in the station, who has also completely cut them off from the outside world. But when Dr. Perseco finds a way to communicate to his viewers about the terror unfolding at the station, will they send assistance to Dr. Perseco, or will they just sit back and enjoy the show, thinking that the carnage at the station is all part of the program?First off, the movie is great. The day after I saw the world premiere at HorrorHound Weekend, I went and bought two copies at the convention, one for myself and one for a friend who couldn't make HorrorHound weekend. Also, the concept of a man who presents "reel life" terror on TV is suddenly faced with real life terror is original. Out of all the slasher films of the past, this concept was never used, and makes one feel that this was a great concept and why did they wait until now to do this?D.C. Douglas is awesome in the film. He is believable whether he is portraying the persona of Dr. Perseco or as a regular person, trying to figure out who the killer and concern over his fellow crew members. And the mystery of trying to figure out who the killer is portrayed with logic, taking time to accomplish this, is greatly appreciated here, unlike other slasher films where the killer's identity is shoved down your throat in 90 seconds through exposition by the killer in those films. Also, KILD TV has one of those "This Guy" jokes. Suffice it to say, "This Guy" jokes have never made me laugh, until the one in KILD TV. Congratulations guys, you finally made me laugh at one of those jokes. Well done indeed. And the film also has one of those YEAH!!!!!! moments which was greatly welcomed.Part slasher film, part love letter to horror movie hosts, KILD TV is a welcome addition to any horror film collection.
muscalmike Well folks, this time of year looks to bring festivals and awards for the film KILD TV. With Horror Hound and Toronto behind us, the film now moves on to the Legless Corpse, Crimson Screen, Crypticon Seattle and Horror Hotel Film Fests. And, along the way, the film has captured Best Film, Best Actor and Best Effects awards. Make sure to catch the next Horror Hound event -- they're a blast. As for KILD TV, Horror Hound Magazine says: "The setting, a late-night horror movie program on a local television station. The cast and crew are the only ones in the building … or, are they? Anyone who grew up a fan of horror-hosted programming is going to love KILD TV. Dr. Proseco, played by D.C. Douglas (Apocalypse Kiss), is your guide into B-horror movie madness. However, all is not well at the KILD studio. A murder story being investigated by one of the news crew bodes unfortunate fates for the horror host crew. As the dead bodies of crew and other building employees are being discovered, the crew attempts to flee, but are locked in the building. The telephone lines have been cut … and cell phones don't work inside the building. Their only form of communication is the camera and the viewing audience. Yet, attempts to make a cry for help that include broadcasting scenes of the victims all seem like part of the act. Can they convince the viewers to call the police before it's too late? KILD TV is exactly what the great majority of horror fans want in a horror film … interesting characters, a mysterious killer, just the right amount of gore, suspense, and a little sex appeal. And, much like its predecessors in the who-done-it sub genre (Urban Legend, Scream, etc), it's a wild ride that ebbs and flows between comedy and tragedy. It's quirky and fun. Plus, paying homage to the reason why so many of us are horror fans … horror hosts … makes KILD TV unique.Great storytelling, great performances, great production … a must see for horror fans. KILD TV will make its world premiere at HorrorHound Weekend in Cincinnati, OH during the HorrorHound Film Fest. rolandcirilo Impressive work for William Collins and Channing Whitaker. Easy to follow story and excellent special effects. Strong acting with a standout performance by Jared Doreck. Very original setting for a horror movie. Television employees are locked in the studio and are being killed off one by one. Who will figure out why people are being offed and who will make it out alive?Equal amounts of laughs with equal amounts of gore. This one is not over the top, and it is fun to see original faces of death with a television studio theme. It is sure to please fans of the genre. Can't wait for the next installment from Collins and his Eye Candy production company.
