stevepat99 I've been seeing too many lousy comedies lately when I spied the many awesome IMDb reviews. Could it really be this good? All my thumbs up YES.Someone opined: Nothing in this movie has any bearing on real life, because things happen all throughout the movie that would never happen in a million years in real life.YES, YES, BRAVO, YES....exactly why the film ROCKS. This is a COMEDY where suspense of one's belief system IS WELCOME. This comedy seeks to depict real life about as much Woody Allen's Manhattan. It is, at times, somewhat akin to the best of classic farces with doors opening and closing all around us.About ZERO among us has had the FUN of running into a 'Lila,' (though I am out searching for her right now!). This comedic gem is like a tossed salad of hilarious conflicted and conflicting characters and situations. The unique central twist is embodied in Lila, delectably played by Paulina Porizkova, who is the engine that keeps this yummy comedy rolling along. And we so enjoy the ride which never lets up from first to last frame.Bravo to cast, crew, writers and director. And now that this chore is over I can go watch it AGAIN.
jkudrick I thought this movie was so smart and very, very funny.I recognized someone I know in almost every character. My husband and I frequently go to the movies and we both agreed this was so much better and more amusing than anything we have seen in a long time. We are so sick of the contrived plots and strained humor found in most movies today.Kudos for Knots. It is thoroughly enjoyable without insulting my intelligence. The various personalities were very believable and the choice of actors totally right on.John Stamos and Paulina Porizkova were outstanding.I really liked the opening scenes with the moving truck and the music choice.
LitzGa2 Knots was a unique and creative movie. I thought Paula was awesome and the characters charming. It was a pleasure to just sit back and enjoy a real movie. It has been along time since I have smiled and felt good about a piece of this caliber. The light romantic way it was portrayed was a delight to see. Sometimes simplicity offers so much more. Keep it up.It was beautifully filmed and allowed you to really get to know the characters. I've told all my friends to go out and rent it...they won't be sorry. The Director captured the emotions and reality of the characters...looking forward seeing more of his movies.
gbudoff Knots is a clever portrayal of the modern day urban relationship and love triangle genre. It is both poignant and relevant and effectively portrays a range of viewpoint and emotion relating to how people interact with each other both in and out of relationships and how people come face-to-face with their own demons. Scott Cohen and Annabeth Gish give strong performances. John Stamos is brilliant with his character portrayal of a care free womanizer (I can hands down say this is his strongest work that I have seen to date) and the rest of the cast does an overall strong job of rounding out the movie. I thought the movie was well written and directed with a crisp, thorough understanding of mood, pacing and the genre as a whole. Greg Lombardo does a masterful job of allowing the characters to evolve in a way that feels very natural and then gets out of their way allowing them to follow their own path to meaning and discovery. Overall, I think this a meaningful comedy with a strong message that shouldn't be missed.
