homecoming8 I felt compelled to add my review, because there's something wrong here on IMDb regarding this specific title. One reviewer already mentioned it, people who were involved in this little low-budget picture left most of the reviews, praising it like some sort of genre classic. The truth is that "Last Breath" is a weak and cheap production: Almost the entire story takes place in one abandoned warehouse. The location is not scary at all. The cast is not terrible, but not good or convincing either. But the real problem is the silly story which makes no sense at all. It is meant to be a horror, but besides some crawling rats and added blood you really do not get anything for your money here. It's "Saw" without the thrills, gore and surprises. Even the ending is in the tradition of the "Saw" movies but it's funny and silly instead of thrilling. Avoid this turkey, it really isn't worth watching. There are way better movies out there.
ryan-balock If anything, Last Breath is a true testament to what independent film should be. On a shoestring budget, Ty Jones brings a crisp, well-developed story beautifully shot and confidently acted. I encourage everyone to catch the special features too look behind the scenes to get a feel for how sincerely excited the crew is to be working on this well-crafted film. For fans of creepy movies, Last Breath delivers. For fans of couples' drama, Last Breath delivers. For fans of the thriller genre with twists and turns, Last Breath delivers. For young directors and producers, Last Breath is an excellent how-to that can help you achieve your own dreams.
billpaxtoncrna This is a great twist on a twisted genre. I usually don't like all the gore out gross out movies. I really enjoyed this movie. The storyline was tight. The film starts out with an introductory scene that doesn't seem to fit the movie initially. As the twist ending is revealed it comes together. The only thing missing from this movie from a horror point of view was the lack of sexual explicit scenes. There is a little bit of infidelity. But I really wanted to see the visuals go all the way. Isn't that what these kind of movies are all about. I don't like to give spoilers so I won't. I'm not big into long reviews but this was a good movie. But this was an awesome movie. Acting was great. Editing was great. The music was very good. I highly recommend. Excellent Moral
ledaandtheswan Ty Jones hits the mark on capturing two important (read: valuable!) demographics, a halcyon-day-dreaming, stressed-out mom and her guts-and-cuss-loving teenage son. I am talking about me and my 15 year – old. Who knew a movie could capture the passionate heart and soul-crushing pain of both? Searching for a movie we both could enjoy,I never dreamed it would be at the intersection of this blood/slasher–cum-morality flick. Ty Jones manages to engage two normally mutually exclusive yet parallel existences to show that families can live in a world that can be either heaven or hell. The choice is completely ours.
