Out of 10...-1 for the pathetic (even for the slapstick genre) scenes w/ monster (it'd be "-2" without the "heat lightning" scene w/ hand).-2 for a weak acting of frontmans (it doesn't apply to Ted Raimi and the ladies; it'd be "-3" without the "not me" scene w/ bowl).-1,5 for a sharp drop of temp in the last dozen minutes (nurse Kasey could definitely help; she brings by herself extra +0,5 for the film).Overall that's 6.I sincerely thank Mark Verheiden.

Bruce Campbell to me is one of the best comedic actors ever. From The Evil Dead to this film he deserves to become a instant classic. This film is perfect for him because c'mon it's Bruce freaking Campbell!!! Now that I'm done with talking about how cool he is i'll go into the story. The story follows Bruce Campbell as himself in production with another film when a monster appears in a little town 6 or so hours from his trailer. That's when a fan kidnaps him and tries to get him to fight the monster and give the town hope. This deserves grade A movie status and a theater re-release all over again. The only problem was it felt long at some points and didn't go as smoothe as let's say Waterboy. Either way Campbell is equal to Jim Carrey in acting.

I loved every moment of this film! Massive horror and Campbell The storyline is pretty simple but yet something different, playing himself is a nice touch. Mocking himself and his career, even his fans is quite amusing and nice to see he's not taking himself too seriously. The monster is all right, didn't blow me away but cool enough. If you're looking for scares, try a different film it's not really a horror film even though that's where I would imagine I would find it amongst that genre in a shop, it's more like a black comedy. Quite silly at times but with lots of laugh, you would probably have to be a fan of Bruce Campbell or at least horror movies to enjoy this too its full potential, i'm not sure if it would be everyone cup of tea. The slapstick violence and cheesy one liners from Campbell with the added Ted Raimi cameos make this a great watch for the majority of horror and Campbell fans.

Duke nukem had to steal his thunder and not even pay him royalties's... Guy had some of the best 1 liners ever, chainsaw for a hand(army of darkness) and his boom-stick? good? bad? he's the guy with the gun! How many other b actors have reached Bruce's FAME? he's almost a house hold name seen all the evil dead movies even within the woods and my name is Bruce and played all the evil-dead: game titles. and will continue looking for of MR. Campbell's gems to enjoy! and looking forward to an evil dead 4 STARING Bruce again he's made the whole movies with his off beat witty humor and smart ass remarks. I honestly doubt a remake with Bruce would do the films any justice at all, WE ALL WANNA HAIL TO THE KING BABY!! And Ash Williams is the king now and forever.
