cookiesmmmsprinkles So, I bought the movie at a local Blockbuster for my young sister, who simply adores ever MK and A thing (she sadly still hasn't seen Full House). I popped the DVD in, and was getting my hopes up. So...the film...Jane (A) is a hardworking, girly whilst her sister Roxy (MK) is lazy, rocker and school skipper. I personally relate to Jane more. Anyway, so they have a giant 'you-get-all-the-attention!' fight--which I semi decently understand it (being the youngest of triplets, NOT including the young sister mentioned). I think the film is appealing to young pre-teen girls, but will make girls the age of them in the film hurl, to be honest.
TheLittleSongbird I think the best gag of the movie is Trey's line "Is it my birthday?" when he sees Jane and Roxy in just towels, having just come out of the shower. New York Minute isn't perfect, none of the Mary Kate and Ashley movies are, but 3.9 is way too low. I thought it was fun and entertaining, though very predictable. The subplot about the micro chip inside the dog was a little clumsy, but that's me being picky. I must say the music choices are great, with "War" being played very loudly, and then the talented Eugene Levy singing badly (intentionally) "Bad girl what are you going to do when I come for you?" in reference to Roxy. People say it is just an excuse for Mary Kate and Ashley to show off their fashion tips, but it is much more than that. It set out to entertain, and I personally think it mostly succeeded, putting aside the predictable plot and superficial scripting. 7/10 Bethany Cox.
kagome-arrow Ignore all those comments where they totally talk bad about the olsens because they're all lies! Sure, this movie isn't something that would earn a huge award but it's still a wonderful movie for "tweens" and young girls. I, myself am a tween and i absolutely loved it! It's got semi-action, some humour and heartfelt moments! OK so here's a short summary about the movie: Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen playing Jane and Roxanne Ryan. One very sophisticated and smart while the other is the rock type. (the complete opposite of Jane). They end up in a huge chase with Lomax(Eugune Levy) and this psycho dude who thinks he's Chinese.(which he's NOT!)If you're an Olsen fan, you'll love it! so go for it!
tnguy4u111 I am currently serving life without parole for first-degree murder. I purchased this movie as a birthday present for my little sister who watched it with her friends. We walked in mid movie to find all 12 girls having hung themselves mid-way through the film. My lawyer tried to get me off on the defense of not knowing how mind-shatteringly awful this movie was but after showing 2 mins to the jury they immediately determined that anyone would realize watching this movie is much worse than suicide. Little known facts about NYM: IMDb has had this movie permanently engraved on the list of the 100 worst films of all time. This is the tape they use in THE RING. When u go to blockbuster to rent it theyll tell ya to hold on to it as long as u want knowing ill be back in a new york minute
