alexan1 I was surprise by low rating of this film. I think it's perfect movie for this kind of story. Some people said it's not historically accurate, but who know if Bible is historically accurate itself. I think that including Sodom and Gomorrah story to the film's plot is totally appropriate. Good cast: Jon Voight is perfect, his wife (Mary Steenburgen) is good too. And James Coburn. And what I like most, it's humor in almost of every scene, for example:How did it happen? God destroyed them for their wickedness. Some religious thing, huh? So, I recommend this film to everybody, who is interested in religion and especially who is not.
workslord This is got to be the worst movie I have ever reviewed it has no Biblical authority what so ever and the acting is terrible beyond compare. I really cannot believe that supposedly being a Christian that Jon Voight would take part in something this bad and is a dishonor to GOD'S Holy Word ! They would have us believe that Noah was witness to the destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah when it was Abraham who was the one GOD told He would destroy those cities and Abraham was Lot's uncle not Noah. I wish that I could rate this movie 0 stars as it truly doesn't deserve the one star rating.I hope all who truly Love the Lord Jesus Christ and GOD Almighty will seriously think twice before purchasing or renting this movie if you Love the TRUTH of GOD'S Word you will be insulted by this piece of trash. There are so many good Christian movies out there to watch this one certainly isn't worth the waste of time it takes to watch, especially with it's total lack of Biblical accuracy ! May GOD forgive those who produced this piece of cinematic trash.
MikeB-9 NBC should be ashamed. I wouldn't allow my children to see this. I definitely would tell my church to stay away. This movie is proof as to why NBC has always been a 3rd rate network The producers, actors, and writers should get on their knees and beg God's forgiveness for making this work of fiction. There were no pirates. Noah's wife didn't parade around on the deck of the ark. The ark had NO deck. Lot wasn't even born when this event took place. Did anyone attached to this project try reading the Bible? There were more than two animals of each type taken. Read the story in Genesis. How could anyone bring this to any screen, small or large!
tattoo-12 This is pure CRAP, and probably the worst Biblical theme film ever... Absolutely inaccurate, I mean, they've put Sodom and Gomora BEFORE the great flood. They've described Lot as a friend of Noah although he lived after Noah. To make things worse, later Lot became a pirate and attacks Noah's Ark during the flood!!!??? And what's with the merchant who comes along on a boat which is moved over the water with a bicycle mechanism??? And exchanges alcohol for a food and water, and then Noah is portrayed as alcoholic!? Mockery, and continuous blasphemies one after another, and it goes on and on, and on... Film maker and all participants surely secured themselves the front row in hell with this garbage...Please stay off this crap, because you will save yourself nearly three hours of your life.
