maplechan71 I invested an hour and a half into this movie only to find nothing happening except for "did you hear this?" "Did you hear that?" And watching through an old camcorder was ugly and 3D looking but without the glasses made me TERRIBLY sick for the rest of the night. DO NOT BOTHER with this movie.

view_and_review I guess the good thing about this film is that it's the last (so I read). Part four was a significant drop off from the first three so I figured that Ghost Dimension could only go up. Well, it was imperceptibly better than part four which means it was still a disappointment. In this episode we had a little more of a believable reason for setting up and carrying a camera everywhere. The father, Ryan (Chris Murray), found an old camera and found out that the camera is specially outfitted to see paranormal entities. That's cool because now it makes sense that a person has a camera set up in almost every corner of the house. So, unlike the first four renditions of Paranormal Activity, this one gives us glimpses of more than just moving things. But even the actual ghost footage couldn't save this.This movie still follows the same formula as the other editions: small easily explainable disturbances leading up to more unsettling occurrences culminating into the all out spook offensive. I'm not giving anything away here, that is pretty much right out of the ghost movie manual. Yes, there were some variances in the movie to make it slightly fresher but not enough to separate itself from being labeled a cash grab.

booyouwhoree I'm probably the only one who wrote a review that likes this movie. the acting could be better. but i think seeing the activity is pretty different. i definitely liked this one more than The Marked Ones. it didn't make sense how this Hispanic family had anything to do with a white family. it just didn't make sense. but i think this one is way better and i recommend. its also way better than Blair Witch. if you were thinking about watching that movie, don't. its terrible. there's just no way i could put down any paranormal activity movie. except the marked ones. THAT movie is trash. production value should not have been so high for that movie. considering the actors were trash and the characters were not even close to being related to any of the other characters in this series.

Daniel Barnard I understand the hate because it's paranormal activity. However, this film was very entertaining to me and was a fun little scary movie to watch. I'm not saying it's even great but definitely above average. I personally didn't like any of the other films and I feel that this one stuff actually happens. My main problem with the other ones are so much time wasted with nothing happening with a stupid payoff that really isn't scary. Now i'm not gonna say that all the jump scares are good because not all are but some are cool through the first person view that not much of the other films explored for some crazy reason. Now the time line with the other films are kinda cool and I like the concept but it isn't utilized to the full potential. Now I never write reviews but i felt i should write this because this film was a fun ride, nothing insanely good that's gonna turn a new leaf in the horror genre or even that it's new but more that it's a good entertaining horror film to watch when your in the mode for a interesting movie. So if you have an amazon prime membership and can watch the movie for free some night, check it out. But if you wanted to rent it for a couple bucks that's okay. To be honest I fell kinda bad saying it but I might even pick this title up on blu-ray on black Friday if it's really cheap. Not a bad one to add to the collection.
