Light Romantic chick flick comedy....not Tale of Two Cities, but is a 'for fun' movie. I enjoyed it because I thought /think Charisma Carpenter(Buffy the Vampire slayer) is a doll. Story is about Jane looking for love with help from her friendss, working in a busy work environment just not getting the breaks she needs. Holly Marie Combs(Charmed) adds a nice little role as her buddy.

This was an adorable chick flick that is definitely worth seeing but not necessary by any means. Charisma Carpenter is precisely that: totally charismatic and lovable. She plays an shy, under-confident young woman who has trouble with men and is in search for a date to take to her snotty cousin's wedding. Her two, overly pushy but well-meaning best friends don't help matters and the fact that she is suddenly thrust into working with beautiful, Natasha Nutley (Holly Marie Combs) from highschool makes her predicament even worse. Overall, it's a light comedy that is enjoyable and amusing. Charisma totally sells her character and the audience definitely identifies with her. Holly Marie Combs is hilarious in her portrayal of B-list actress Natasha. Together, Combs and Carpenter make a wonderful duo and light up the screen with their talent, chemistry and well, their Charimsa.Another thing. It's interesting to note that the movie was filmed only two months after Carpenter gave birth to her son.

Did you know that this is a book?? It's a really great book. A TV movie couldn't possibly do it justice. The book made me laugh so hard, and parts of it are definitely to risky for a TV movie. But a real movie... well, that's what should have been done. READ THE BOOK!!! Then you'll see that someone like Sandra Bullock could portray Jane sooo much better on the big screen - you'll also see why this hilarious, touching and romantic book should be made into something that gets a large audience and rave reviews! I wish this was a real big-screen movie, it'd be soo great... well, I write screenplays in my spare time, maybe I'll make it happen? Good luck to me. But seriously, if you didn't like the TV movie, or even if you loved it, read the book... no TV movie could ever do it justice!

This was entertaining, and just made you feel good. Evan Marriott's role is small, but (I begrudgingly admit) well acted. The acting is not bad, good performances by all the principals. Some loose ends are kind of annoying, but this is a good movie.
