xeta prime Seven out of 10 from me. Seems most hated it here. I've seen worse and I've seen better but I have to say I give it points on the writing, acting and directing. The dialogue was believable which doesn't happen often in any 'Shark' themed movie. Seriously, just about everyone said what you'd expect in such a situation which is in my opinion impressive, and makes the movie worth watching. Special effects? I wasn't expecting much and didn't get much- still, I have seen worse but with better effects this movie might have been in better standing. Dolph, always good to see him and though he wasn't the actual star of the film (main character), he was always close and you knew it, which might have been a good thing or not. Can sharks terrify a lake community? Ehh, I knew what I was getting into by the title and was happily surprised overall. The filmmakers did a fine job with what they had and it shows they cared. Not great but well above Syfy standards.
adi_2002 Panic spreads in a small town when a killer shark begins to attack natives and tourists. Now the authorities and a few local fisher mans must try to stop the beast from making any more victims. This one can be categorized among a list of the worst movies from 2015. It fits perfectly. There is not too much shark action and when is, it's with low quality and unwatchable. Dolph Lundgren's appearance is wasted, here he is like making more of his presence rather then play a part. I don't get why he even bother to appear. So in conclusion you will not see to much sharks in this one, like the title suggests, but these are the expectations from a bad movie. Skip it if you are sick with the same steps and clichés already seen in other movies and choose a better one following this idea but better made and with more action and actors who give their interest so the outcome is more pleasant for the viewer.
jackstupidjack When he was in his heyday in the mid to late 1980s, with a Bond and a Rocky smash behind him, it must have seemed to Lundgren that he would wind up in the 'Stallone/Schwarzenegger' bracket with strings of mega smash box office hits and multi million dollar contracts. Sadly for him, it didn't quite pan out that way with a stream of dreadful B movies coming his way instead from studios desperate to get a smash on their hands. If I were him I'd be looking to dish out a Drago style beating to my handlers for landing me a load of crappy roles in films with 'The XXXXX' in the title... A plus for him is that he isn't the worse performer in this pile of doo doo, which must be the dreadful female lead. The film is surprisingly good fun with all the silliness, cheese, and dreadful acting and ludicrous scripting you'd expect. The cinematography is also worth a mention, some of the nature shots are quite stunning. Harmless inoffensive twaddle at best.
German Nikolas reading the name of the main actor on the cover was enough for me... (and his face from the side dominating the front cover)the name Lundgren has become kind of a crap-movie certificate and guarantee for movies that are not worth watching. i wonder if he is aware of it. This movie made me really wonder what people think before they start such a project and i guess it goes something like this: "hey! we want to produce a striking movie but we have neither the talent, great idea for the story or any money for a decent cast. So lets take a well known yesterdays tough guy actor and let him fight some computer animated monsters so we do not need to pay for anyone playing his opponent as a bad guy. just some cheap effects will do. That is all we can afford. maybe some idiots out there will buy it if we use the shark idea again."for this "masterpiece" they taking cheap to another level by using computer animated sharks and let them swim in a fresh-water lake to keep the costs down even more. actually there are some good shark documentaries out there nowadays(with real sharks in the ocean) that show that these beautiful animals are worth saving and play a very important role in our eco-system and that they are not the aggressive killers ignorant people see them as. people with a little bit of sense are far better of watching one of those than this pile of rubbish.
