WakenPayne The Original Intention Of This Was To Sell BMW's. I Usually Hate Car Ads, They Always Use The Same Selling Point "The New Holden For Only 14,990!" It Gets Tiring. THIS On The Other Hand Actually Had Me Wanting To Buy BMW's And Hang Around Outside Hotels Where Pop Stars I Don't Like Are Staying(If Any Pop Stars Are Reading This: If You Want To Be Safe Stay In The Limo And Don't Ask Someone Else To Take You, That Someone Could Be ME!) The Simple Plot Is That Madonna Is Yet To Turn Up To A Gig And Out Of The Blue She Asks Clive Owen To Drive Her, Only One Problem, Clive Owen Thinks She Is A Real Pain. He Drives Incredibly Fast To The Performance To Make Sure Madonna's Manager And Bodyguard Can't Get There First And By The End Madonna Falls Out Of The Car With Spilled Coffee Down The Front Of Her Pants And Smeared Makeup And The Paparazzi As Witnesses. There Are Numerous Funny Parts To This Short, I Have Revealed To You Some Of Them Already. I Suggest You Find It Somewhere And Watch It, You Won't Be Disappointed.
BroadswordCallinDannyBoy Guy Ritchie is surely one of the most visually and aurally creative directors. Even "Snatch" alone makes a strong point for this case, and "Star" adds even more to it. With just a BMW and a classic song (as well as an extract from another great piece), Ritchie makes one heck of a funny ride that's well worth taking for its entire 6 minutes. Then, when its over, you'll want to take it again. However, it is not just the frenetic car chase, as with his previous films the plot here (yes, plot, in a music video/advertisement) is also amusing with that Ritchie touch of unexpected cahoots and twists. This is easily the funnest (and funniest) of all the BMW short films. --- 10/10
vinnie-7 This is the best BMW film made, the camera work and car driving are the best. Guy has proved to me that he can direct a great action movie, and should be given the chance. This short film alone is more entertaining than Gone in 60 seconds with Nick Cage.
kleaner I loved this film. The camera work is fantastic and the story is really funny. I really liked the scene when the car began speeding up, Blur's song comes out and when the car flies, classic music comes out and Blur's song comes out again when the car lands. Through the whole film, I could see how clever the director is.
