Rich Fettke This was a pretty solid movie overall. I wasn't really sure what it was about but it was definitely a different plot. It had some resemblance to the hunger games but overall was pretty different. They did a good job choosing characters, I feel like they fit very well. The movie was entertaining and kept me in the whole time. It got confusing at times but that was intriguing part about it.I liked this movie a lot to the point that I just want to go see it again.Nothing really that inappropriate. This is a good film and i recommend watching it.10/10 star
jolleywillie898 I go into movies with an open mind and just let the movie unfold. I don't read reviews, although I come to IMDb to see the genres of movies and the rating. When I saw this had a 8 star rating I felt safe going to it.I'm guessing if you are a young child or a teenager this was interesting as this has all very young actors, which in itself isn't bad, but add that to a lack of story and no character development and I felt like walking out of the theatre about half way in, and the urge was growing the longer the movie went on. However I was there with my wife, we were in the a theatre with food service and I was enjoying the coke and popcorn, and I didn't want to bother my wife. The mystery surrounding the place where most of the action happens, and the suspense and ominous feeling always hanging in the air made me unable to tear my eyes away from the screen for the entire film. The ending WAS a bit confusing and unsatisfying, but the rest of the movie was absolutely amazing and I will definitely watch it again. This is without a doubt one of the best films I have seen .
Lily Jones Really enjoyed this film. My friends and I were dancing in the aisle. Would have liked the music to be much louder. Really felt sorry for the band's manager Jim as he tried to juggle all the negatives to create a feel good factor. The final shot left me wondering if there is likely to be a Tamla Rose spin off. Thought the three girls should have been younger as this would have made them appear more vulnerable although Tisha Merry came across as a scheming woman who would do anything to achieve her ambition whilst Adi Alfa and Alexandra Johnston came across as okay I would have liked to see them being more passionate in their singing performances. Errol Smith and Leon Tagoe were excellent and believable. Overall if this film comes to your area and you like good music Then go and see it. You won't be disappointed. Would not be a bit surprised if some of the soundtrack songs appeared in the pop charts...
angiequidim The story follows all girl group Tamla Rose through their career from their humble beginnings as background singers. The Motown like story reminds me much of the movie "The Temptations" put out years ago. One thing that stood out for me in this movie was the soundtrack. I was mesmerized by the trailer alone, listening to the compositions. Being that is primarily a movie based on the music business, this movie was a great find. The director took an interesting approach to the cinematography that most critics are quick to dismiss as bad filming. Filming this movie as if it were a throwback to the technology of the 80s gave it some charm and actually helped the story move along.Movie critics are always quick to judge what is good and bad about a film yet they lack the experience of making a film to truly see what the artist (in this case filmmaker) is trying to portray. The chemistry between actresses Adi Alfa, Alexandra Johnston, and Tisha Merry really made the movie. It's not one I would miss and for the music alone I would give it a shot. You might be pleasantly surprised!
