Note to self: Just because something is on instant viewing does not make it worth watching. The Dolphin: Story of a Dreamer is a horrible mess. It's boring (for children and adults), the story is pointless, the dialogue is terrible and the animation looks like it was done as a class project in a high school. I only watched it to the end because someone asked me to. . .and I curse their name for it.

I don't know where to start?? This movie was THE single worst movie I've seen in my life(at least as long as I can remember) filled to it's below standard brim with new age dribble. Horrible God references. My daughter was watching it one night and I actually took it out and threw it away, something I've NEVER done with ANY of her movies. Please I can't stress enough, don't lead your children astray and let them watch this dung heap of a movie. I actually created an account to leave this review

I can't hold watching this rubbish more than 10 minutes, it is very awful, just see the animation, it seems to be made by a 15 years old person who recently learned how to use the 3d software, even my university third grade mates could make a better 3d film. This has to be thrown into the depths of the earth that can never be seen by anyone else. Really thanks god that i was alone when i saw this, and no children around me, if not, they would cry just to see the awful characters, the awful render, and the very awful dialogues. I preferred not finish watching, please never watch this. I usually do not write reviews but this deserves a very bad review because it is a very bad movie.

As another reviewer said, if I could give this movie a negative score I would - I only wish I had read the reviews here before renting this movie for my 5-year-old. I actually signed up here at IMDb just so I could warn anyone else who may possibly be considering showing this movie to your children: DON'T! We have Friday night movie night at our house, and my son chose this from RedBox; looked innocuous enough and suitable for a young child... boy, was I wrong!! Horrible (read: creepy) animation; trite, senseless drivel masquerading as a "storyline"; terrible music; and - worst of all - the most hideous, nightmare-inducing "bad guy" character (the sunfish? more like a maniacally vicious, monstrous barracuda!) ever imagined for a so-called children's movie. What the H--l could the people making this movie have POSSIBLY been thinking??? We foolishly soldiered on to the end of this miserable mash-up, as I was hoping a positive ending might wash away the bitter bile watching it induced, but alas - I was wrong again. Could find absolutely nothing positive to redeem this vapid waste of time, technology & resources. I thought I believed in freedom of artistic expression, but all copies of this movie should be permanently destroyed so no other psyches will be harmed by viewing it.
