Karieann Politzer I cried the whole time, the movie made me look at myself. I loved how they used very different people from different cultures and the acting was stupendous! Its a great movie for everyone to see though it does have some violence and language but they don't exactly spell it out. I liked the drama it made the movie so realistic and also repeatable. The ending it's self was so sad it made me cry. It lists things that people today don't even come to think that these things a problem. It tests everyone. Who Am I? What Is the meaning of life. Why is everything happening? I choose this movie to be 10 out of 10 stars because of the reality relativity drama action and It's a great Christian movie. So guys go watch the movie!
teresa11-312-618155 Before watching this movie, I had nearly no idea who Tim Chey was. I read a quick summary a few minutes before watching it, but I hardly knew any specific details. After watching it, I know exactly who he is, and what he stands for. He stands for freedom of speech. Freedom of thought. Some might call the film too intellectual. Others call it a patriot movie. I believe he is the latter. While I don't know the exact story of Armand the terrorist's motives from any other sources than this movie, I don't know if it's completely accurate. The plot is great, for a thriller piece, the acting is superb, by most actors, especially the three main characters. Most of the cinematography fits the movie perfectly. The only thing that bothered me a little, was there was relatively little information about why Armand (tom sizemore) did what he did, believed what he believed so strongly. I sympathized with his character in several scenes, but I never fully understood him. Chey should have had at least a few more emotional scenes with Armand, to explain his actions better. Overall, a very good drama. Recommendable to most fans of the genre, as long as they can stand what the movie shows them. If you have an open mind, you're not too easily offended and you're into super intelligent mind-blowing dramas, this is a good film to watch. 8/10
tomasina_nozka I really enjoyed "Genius Club." It was a wonderful, satiric (take your pick: black comedy/crime drama/mystery). The acting was tremendous. Tom Sizemore was fantastic and his performance was definitely Oscar-worthy. The movie itself pushed the lines between arguing the truth and arguing the facts. With 7 big intelligence intellectuals! Although the movie was never clear on whether Sizemore really meant to blow up the world, the movie was actually more enjoyable because of its ambiguity. The tactics used by his character were very convincing and plausible. One thing I must complain about was the addition of the professor into the film, which wasn't very well done. Otherwise, fun for the whole family, if your family is a sardonic, evil, emotionless wreck.
jerry-peanu This film was, in my opinion, exciting, thrilling, and an overall entertaining film to watch. It delivered the necessary chills, to keep its audiences fully awake, and engaged."Genius" does benefit from its moody atmosphere, which may cover up any of the film's shortcomings. Towards the end, it does lose pace a little bit as things seem to be spiraling down the haunted house route, but quickly regains momentum as it draws to a close especially Baldwin's monologue about his dying mom. I know that despite its flaws, I was glued to the seat and really "in" the film's tight tension, which thankfully doesn't let up.I can't remember the last time I've been surprised by a movie's final twist, but "The Genius Club" has an ending that I didn't see coming at all. This thriller is the most original piece of independent film-making since "Cube". I'm really looking forward to seeing how Tim Chey's 'Suing the Devil' measures to this.
