nightroses The film is a TV movie by Hallmark, which is kind of clean and picturesque, with some very easy to follow storylines and plot. The characters are all quite sweet as pie, except for the school bully's dad. Cassie Nightingale is the new owner of a very grim looking rundown haunted house, but on the inside, it looks so pleasant and warm. She knows about magic, and helps people. The wife of the mayor is jealous and has it in for Cassey and will do whatever it takes to run her out of town. I enjoyed this movie and the wafts of gingerbread, cinnamon and jasmine that comes off it. I admit its the first time I've seen this movie. Also its the first of a series of Good Witch films, that later was followed by the TV series.
Tatyana Chadwick I didn't know about this movie until I noticed the 3d part of it on this site. And I thought that it will be interesting. So, today I watched the first part of the "Good Witch". It is a story of a beautiful woman, who came to live in the Grey House. Everybody around thought that she was a witch, because once she talked with dog, who scared children, and after that the dog has changed a lot. She had friends, but she had enemies. We can see how this woman tried to survive in this small town. It was very well-done, very bright, colorful and kind. A very good story with love and rivalry. I think that you can watch it with your family if you want to rest. The acting was brilliant, the plot is not very difficult to understand. Watch it! You will love it!
limelightprod I liked the movie "The Good Witch", because Catherine Bell was very alluring and sexy in this movie. I can only wonder what she is like in real life as I suspect her character role in this movie might be closer to her real personality in real life. She comes across very delightful in that she has a good personality to go along with her good looks as well. She is a breath of fresh air as compared to other movie stars. The Hallmark channel has a lot of good movies that are more wholesome family oriented movies. I watched her in the series, "JAQ" many times and liked her acting. The thing that intrigued me the most was the underlying unwritten romance between her and Mac. Just when you think one of them is going to break out into something romantic and confess their crush and that there is something going on, they both seem to be in denial. Yet the storyline lets you know they are probably both in love with each other. This makes a great plot, and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.
sageaqua The Good Witch has the same charm as Bell Book and Candle (1958). It's a benevolent look at a very kind women that seems to be a witch. Like most of us - she just wants a place to call home. To that end she helps others she meets with in the small town community in an informally magical way resolve their own problems. The show made me smile. I don't do that very often - but it felt good. The only other film has the ability to do that is Pollyanna (1960) - the original. The film is just charming. It is a film that looks for the good in people and helps them find it with in themselves. We could use a lot more films of this type. I hope to pick up a copy as a DVD as soon as possible. "My favorite line is: Life's a journey - not a destination." How's that for an optimistic outlook?
