mvickors I first watched this movie when I was eleven years old, and I really do still like it now! The boys were very young in the movie but showed that they had talent right form the start. When I first watched it, I couldn't believe that a nine year old- Nat Wolff- could have written the songs that were played, and I was also very impressed that a six year old Alex Wolff could have written 'Thats how it is'. I like the mocumentary style of the film, and how it is based on the boy's real life band. The whole cast were good actors considering their age, and I like how it covers real issues like first love and growing up. Lots of people have given this movie bad reviews and I totally disagree. It's meant for kids so adults aren't expected to love it, but nobody can say that the boys have no talent because I've never met a six year old that can play the drums like Alex or a nine year old that can sing and write songs like Nat. I've grown up loving these boys and I'm never going to dislike the naked brothers band.
dawnficarra This movie is awesome! The kids in this movie are gifted! Have you ever seen a six year old play the drums perfectly? Well if you watch the movie you will! And Nate Wollf is so hot even though he is two years older then me. But the movie is about a band called the Golden Boulders and when the band brakes up the brothers Nate and Alex go into depression.Me and my friends loved it because it was funny, cool and cute!Like Nate is in love with this girl Roselina and when ever she goes up to him he talks in a British accent because he wants to be like the Beatls!Over all it is just a great movie with a good ending and you should watch it on Feb. second at 8:00 on Nickalloden!
ajaws4ever Nat's singing voice sucks. His songs make so sense at all. They're creative, I have to admit, but they just make no sense and they're all about the most random things you could think of. 'Crazy Car'? 'Motormouth'? Come on! Those are so corny. Like I said, Nat's singing voice sucks. His normal voice is awesome, but his singing voice sounds hoarse and rough for one song, girly for another, and a very bad heavy metal rock voice for another song.Alex's drumming, however, is awesome. He has a really rare gift and he's using it for something so crappy. He should dump his own band and move to professional rock bands like Evanescence and All American Rejects and Green Day and other bands. "He's easily the best drummer in the world." (Nat Wolff, preview for 'The Naked Brothers Band' movie). And that's the only thing I agree with Nat on. Alex Wolff is the best drummer in the world. Also, the movie has extreme sexual immaturity, potty mouth, even a blocked out 'S' word, USED BY NAT HIMSELF! Why isn't this movie rated R for potty language and sexually vulgar humor? Okay, it shouldn't be rated R, but it should be PG-13. The TV's rating is Y7, not TV14! Come on! But Rosalina and Nat (I'm saying another nice thing about Nat) are the only ones that bring actual maturity to this movie. The middle was somewhat shocking...if you were paying attention.Overall, a crappy band, and an okay movie and TV show. But the movie is so much worse than the TV show series, but it's still okay.My MPAA rating: PG-13: potty language and some sexually vulgar humor**1/2 out of ***** 5/10
proud_dancer_freek34 Before I go ANY further, I have to say this - the oldest kid in the movie was 11.Of course these kids aren't gonna be as good as the Beatles, who are Nat's favorite band. The average age of them is 9. The music is quite cute and I think the movie reminded me a lot of Napoleon Dynamite, especially the way it was filmed. Also, the comedy in it was cute and even though a little bit more "mature" then Spongebob, it was funny to me. I loved that little kid Alex, who reminded me soo much of my little brother.I thought it was cool that that little kid, Nat actually wrote all those songs. The songs aren't gonna be Grammy material, again - Nat Wolff was 9 in the movie and is 11 now.Everyone is insulting these kids when really they are all very cute and talented. This movie is NOT a blockbuster film competing for some Oscar. No. This movie is a Nickelodeon movie, and for Nick, it was very good compared to some of their other stuff, and I know I'll be watching the series for its goofy jokes and "thin" plot line - perfect for a tween like me to understand.Plus, there is no "sexism" in it towards girls. Nat and Alex like girls and, honestly, which 9 year old boy DOESN'T think boys rule and girls drool? I am a girl myself, and all in all I found it quite entertaining and funny. So stop insulting these kids. Imagine if they read these comments - they'd feel pretty lowsy because you judged the movie like, well - a real REAL movie. This is a made for TV movie directed at pre-teen kids. I don't know a pre-teen boy who doesn't like a good joke about boobies. So I'm giving this movie an 8, because I laughed my stinking butt off at Alex (that's inappropriate) and the rest of this goofy band. And now my little sister has a hugggge crush on Nat.All I'm saying is, these kids can play instruments and sing and write songs - unlike my brother who sits around and plays gameboy sp all day.
