Christopher Mueller This film has been despicably misinterpreted by other critics. It is a story of parenthood and how children can teach you so much. It is unfair that people do not see that.DO NOT listen to them - watch this with your family. It is a great film - of course, some poorly produced scenes and some repetitive scripting but compared to the cliché stuff coming from Hollywood, I cannot see how that is such an interruption for the audience of this film. The actor playing Timmy is also very good.Watch this film, and, in the words of Timmy, "Never Give Up."
kupukupumu I actually skipped to see this movie many times, until just now. And as background I must tell that I am a middle aged man who is not usually into Disney's and family movie. Maybe that's why I saw this very late. And I found this movie as very good, that I care to spend time to tell you. The GoodThe cast are superb, everyone is perfect. The plot is very emotional but not whining. All the scenes are there because they need to be. Actually there is nothing special about the story, it is about daily life and routines. I cannot add spoiler to this ordinary storyline. But the way it is told and the cast make it so good that I wish the movie is a bit longer. And the instrumental soundtrack is one of the most beautiful compositions. Applaud to those who write the music score. The BadIt is a fantasy movie. But, you know this before watching it, right?ConclusionI am not a pro critic nor I see how they review a movie, but cannot agree with most negative reviews for this movie. Maybe the best recent family movie (or movie for parents).
msjlpalo I have been a fan of family movies and shows and this might top my list.Garner's acting is exceptional and yes I love her so much!! He is this mother-type of an actress and I'm glad she is in this movie because I can't imagine this movie without her.Timothy is so cool and it gives a refreshing mood for all the audience and it made me love the movie more. It is refreshing and an easy-going film. Not heavy on drama, not heavy on comedy, just the right amount of every emotion and it is rare to see a movie with this combination.Kudos to the director and staffs, it is well-made and it is a family movie that you wouldn't want to miss!I recommend the movie to everyone, in all ages!
valerie-dynda I think people have definitely been negatively overreacting about this film. Yes, the movie does have a bit of depressing feel (and ending) but that doesn't make it a bad movie. Some people complain that there was not enough magic involved, but just because that's a part of the storyline doesn't mean the whole story needs to center around that! I thought that while this movie was somewhat unusual, the acting was still great and I believe unusual is good. The emotional factor of this movie was probably its strongest point, as I was definitely getting teared up at a few points. It made me think about the value of our time in life, and I believe any movie that really makes you think is worth your time. While you probably won't leave thinking this is your favorite movie ever, I believe anyone could enjoy it, as long as they come in with an open mind.
