You know those wallpapers on windows XP, pretty cool, right? Imagine if you had the chance of taking a picture in one of these places, that would be extra cool, wouldn't it?That is the foundation on which this movie was built. The only thing that people seem to agree on after watching the movie was it's amazing cinematography (shoot, that was a hard word to spell). Problem is that the director and the cinematographer tricked us into thinking that by doing the thing I said in the 1st paragraph.Wanna know how to figure out whether you're being tricked or not? check out the most boring scenes in the movie (ex: shot - reverse shot scenes) and see if you still think it's great. The music choices in this movie were really cheesy, I mean come on you can't use "Space Oddity" by Bowie and expect me not to get goosebumps, I hear someone saying "then how is it cheesy?" I never said the music itself was cheesy, I said the music CHOICES were, although all the other tracks here were.Every character in this movie were super-duper cliched except Sean Penn's character... he was entertaining (shame he's in the movie for like 5 minutes).Acting? Can someone stop Ben Stiller from trying, cuz I'm starting to doubt he even does anymore, I'm sure that he's a funny guy in real life, but here his delivery is really off, and since he's the director on this one, the 'visual comedy' wasn't really comedic at all.Anyway if you watched the trailer and thought "hmmm, I might enjoy that" then go watch it, just remember that this is 114 minutes you're never getting back.

This movie starts off terribly - even for the characters it is setting up.... but it builds and builds and builds. Sit through it. It's worth it.

A most beautiful movie we have now seen 4 times.
Stunning cinematography, beautiful story, meaning, script and message.
Wonderful acting and plenty of light humorous moments.
Just a beautiful, uplifting, hugely entertaining movie.

Sorry. I'm tired of watching Ben Stiller movies that are nothing more than Ben Stiller being Ben Stiller. That's one of the biggest issues I had with this movie. It just wasn't believable. I never bought into his "character". Making it even more unbelievable, as other reviewers have already pointed out, is that Stiller goes from meek day-dreaming mouse to super hero with nothing in between to even remotely justify the transition. (And as much as I hate films that cheap out and give a sudden "OH, HE WAS JUST DREAMING" excuse/plot arc, I would have actually preferred it in this film to the "mouse to super hero" nonsensical ploy.)The movie, which I suppose was intended to be a real "feel good" movie, was just a bland, pointless dud. I yearn for the time when all these Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Seth Rogen, Zach Galifianakis, Seth MacFarlane Idiocracy shows will just go away once and for all.
