nilen-51573 When I saw This movie I though it was OK, but got worse the more you stared to know of what was happening. I started to think about everything around the movie. They live in Romania in a gigantic house. She is a teacher and I cannot think she makes that much especially if you look at the cat they own. The husband is a writer. For this to work he must be a fairly successful writer. His death must be some fairly large news because of this. I wonder what type of books he writes. His fans must be cruised by his death. His books popularity must rise after this death. The books will be debated for a long time. Especily if he was writing a series and wasn't finished. On a second note. The kids are ridiculously good at sneaking.
king_of_maryland Not scary at all. I watched this film because it was touted as "The scariest, based on true events" film... Very disappointing. Perhaps in Europe, unarmed adults are afraid of unarmed children, but here in America, the villains are just plain laughable. The lead actress is pretty, that's about all this film has going for it.
atinder This was re-watch, I wasn't to keen on first time around, I think I did see Vacnacy before this and Eden lake both - with both of these movies were kind put together in way.Again I felt the same with this movie, I thought it started of tense at first and theit's stays on the same level for most of the movie, it never fully moves forward and I wasn't bored with it. I thought it had noting to hold and I am not sure if were meant to shock and when it's revealed what was doing the stalking. I wasn't shocked, I Know kids have been nasty but I do believe these think can happen, like some kids brought whole of UK to standstill few years back in riots, with a loss of two lives. There were something missing in this movie, there was edge enough, the trailer seem a lot edge of seat kind of thing. I thought the acting was really good not great and I do think some of subs were bit off, on what was playing on screen. I going give this 5 out of 10,.
Nitzan Havoc "Ils" is a Horror-Thriller. It shows the all too familiar cat&mouse chase between the killer/s and the victim/s. It uses fitting sound and cinematography, and has some scenes depicting gut-punching cruelty and despair. And it offers absolutely nothing remotely innovative or original. True story or not, the experience of watching it is disappointing and boring. You might find this review to be harshly judging, but that's the best I could offer you after seventy-some minutes that started with anticipation, continued with waiting, and ended with wishing it would end already. Not because the scenes were too graphic, or too psychologically hard to watch, but simply because the film was boring. I don't think there's any worst adjective to use when describing a Horror film, and I don't think there's any adjective more suitable to use to describe "Ils".As for the ending - well, it might have been shocking enough (considering it was based on real events) ten years ago, but no current Horror fan would find anything they haven't seen before, therefore greatly reducing the shock effect and robbing the film of the one aspect that might have been worthwhile.Objectively speaking, if "Ils" happened to be the first film you watched of this specific sub-genre, you could possible enjoy it and appreciate the empty and almost non existing plot and the all too familiar scenes. Otherwise - you could possible find yourself in my position, happy that the film was finally over and hoping that your next choice of Horror film would be better.
