Harry and Beth wanted a different kind of holiday so they chartered a boat to drop them off on a remote coral island on the Great Barrier Reef. The island was idyllic, surrounded by a wide reef, covered in palms and full of birds and other wildlife. It was small and totally deserted or so they thought. But when things go missing from their camp site and they discover someone else's footprints in the sand this quickly becomes disturbing as they realize the island has a ghost! Inspired by actual events.

amarray Seriously the acting in this movie is wooden and below average the story-line is predictable and almost like it was written by a 10 year old. The stonefish scene was a somewhat "over the top" as they aren't that easy to spot (Experience speaking here)and the fish looked as though it had been pulled out of a science lab preserving jar or borrowed from a Simpsons episode (minus the extra eye) The guy should have known it was a stonefish as everyone in Queensland is taught about them and these two morons should have been wearing some sort of protective footwear as the tourist operators would have drummed that into their shared brain. The scenery though of Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef is stunning and it shows the world the beautiful Aussie state of Queensland - pity it's only shown in a $2.00 movie though. To me it deserves a 1 but I gave it a 2 because of the scenery. You'll either enjoy this tripe or detest it - give it 20 minutes and then switch off or watch till the end for the huge anticlimax.Try hard not to fall asleep and if you need a cure for constipation then this is the movie for you...
FlashCallahan When Harry and his girlfriend Beth travel to one of the six hundred islands in the Northeast coast of Australia, they expect to camp ten days in a deserted paradise. But they find footprints on the sand and things missing in their camp. They believe that it could be a prank by some children camping on the other side of the island. After an incident with two Greek fisherman, the couple find that a woman was molested and murdered years ago on the island, and her ghost still walks the sands.....First off, I really doubt that this movie is based on actual events, because, Spoiler Alert!, no one lives to tell the tale.Take that equation away, and the film is pretty intense, with a wonderful soundtrack, and quite unsettling sound effects. The two leads are what you would expect from a cheap B movie, not the best actors in the world, but perfunctory. There are a few times when you think to yourself 'yes, I'd leave by now' like when they find out that someone gas been filming them, but no, they want to stay.So all in all, it's nice little find, nothing special, with a good twist ending, but never in a million years is this story true.
infrastruct This movie was flawed by some terrible decisions in the writing. It is not as horrible a film as a lot of people here have made it out to be but I thought it had a number of very disturbing moments, especially in the first 3/4 or so. They just didn't know how to end it. Like a lot of Aussie movies it's a very unconventional film. This one is a peculiar mix of good execution and terrible execution. Personally I liked it much better than any mass-market horror movie I've seen in the last 20 years (like the Scream, Saw and Final Destination franchises which are perfectly executed tripe.)Don't expect it to be a conventional film. The movie was basically ruined by the hamhanded ending but until the end it looked like it was going to be OK. It's almost as if two different writing crews worked on it, one professional and the other made of junior high kids.
westfield-john for making a movie like this. The Story: A modern suburban couple, with all their materialistic thinking, their innocent dreams, their perfect love, and blablabla, wanted to stay for 10 days on a uninhabited island. Back to nature! What else could happen, than somebody else is secretly lurking on this wonderful isle, the rude strangers and a mysterious ghost! Yes, a ghost. Why would a ghost stay on such a dire island, instead of hunting us in our beautiful homes in our wonderful cities? I don't know, but quite awhile ago every appearance of ghosts in movies is a allusion that a character suffers from mental illness, not obvious to us at first glance, not before we watched the whole movie. And this is another attempt, which fails just badly. 2/10. And yes, the main actress is gorgeous.
