How does an ex-con get a job in California that lets him carry a gun? California requires a license for security guards to carry a fire arm when working. And the first shoot out was a joke. Every body shooting back and forth, and with all of the missed shots, no bystanders got hit. No police show up. The girl runs off in a tight dress and high heels. The only thing good about this movie was the classic cars. Don't people in California even know how to properly hold a hand gun when shooting it? All told, I guess the gang bangers liked it. The only thing waist deep was all of the cow manure in the script and story lines.

This is another ''Bonnie & Clyde'' ride which features an ensemble cast that includes Tyrese Gibson, Meagan Good and The Game in the lead roles, while Larenz Tate and Henry Hunter Hall play other pivotal roles. The film has a simple and interesting story with a strong screenplay, but it did not deliver anything new. It is a typical action-thriller that people have seen before (which might be a strong reason for why the film is weak).Tyrese Gibson who earlier had acted in Baby Boy, 2 Fast 2 Furious and Four Brothers has showed another side of his acting skills. His body language, style and his mastermind make his role as O2 to be a wonderful father and an unstoppable action hero who can get near on anybody.Meagan Good who is sexy and beautiful as usual has done a great job and improved her acting skills from her previous films Roll Bounce and Stomp The Yard. Both Gibson and Good had a great chemistry throughout the movie. The Game who made his acting debut with this film was faithful to his role as ''Big Meat'', who is the main antagonist in the film. Larenz Tate who played ''Lucky'' and Henry Hunter Hall who played Gibson's son ''Junior'' were at their best.Otherwise this is a film which has much swag, raw Hip-Hop music, good comedy scenes and a lot of action-packed and sentimental scenes. It tells the story of a father who does everything he can to keep a promise he made for his son. It has everything that makes the audience to be filled with great entertainment. It does not disappoint at all.Verdict: A Promise Kept!

This is not a total waist of time, as some might suggest. It is trying to relate and entertain to younger and "harder" audiences! I liked what they were trying to accomplish here! Although I could not relate in anyway. There are some unnecessary graphic violence scenes that do not add to the story line, IMHO! The one scene was meant to portrait the "baddie" as willing to do anything to have his way, all for money! The ending scene is a little over the top, especially the music. If you want to see a modern day version of Romeo & Juliette trying to accomplish the damn near impossible for sake of love then you might like this movie. Overall I'm glad I watched it!

spoilers awful, horrible, el sucko, stupid, the ending sucked, horrible acting, typical, constant, doesn't make sense, i wish tyrese died, the action sucked, why do you need to buy gas to use the bathroom?, how come every person in the film was a gangster including the pre school teacher?, there's no way he would've survived the crash. these are terms that might describe this movie if you watched it. It had potential. Just a little potential but it was all thrown away by the horrendous acting and story. Larenz Tate is the only good one and he ends up dying. It is quite a typical movie, just like cradle 2 the grave. About a "gangster" who loves their kid and the kid gets kidnapped for money, at the end after a few bad jokes and mediocre action, they get the kid back. At the end of this one, Tyrese gets stopped by the cops and decides to pull a Thelma and Louise by driving around sixty five miles an hour into a river. Well I guess he's god or something cause he ends up living somehow, which keep in mind, at that speed is impossible considering how he landed. This film has probably the worst ending I have ever seen in a film and should be outlawed in every single part of the world. The writer should swallow a active grenade and hug the director.
