generationofswine Like so many others, I loved this cartoon as a kid and if I ever get into office I am going to end the regulations that ended Saturday morning cartoons.......and I could probably win an election using that as a single issue platform.......so, you know, note to self...I was about 7 when this was on TV. It's a cartoon made for children about that age. This is a cartoon about a man that was turned into a cyborg in an experiment and then took his family on a ski trip...only to have his family all die in an avalanche and then in order to bring them back to life turns them into cyborgs as well. And this was a cartoon made for children and I had a couple of the toys that came with it....So yeah, my parents would let me watch it at a young age, but no way is my sister letting her kids watch a cartoon with a plot like that.
buckmana Yeah, I didn't buy that Scarab didn't recognize them either. It would be different if he never met them in their civilian identities, but he did and should recognize them easily. I mean, they are a fairly distinctive group. And while we're on the subject, how come none of the classmates recognized them either? They were international celebrities, after all. And to cap it all off (before the remaining five get their superpowers), Bionic One's kids look at him on the telly and DON'T recognize him!!! I wish they would put this out on DVD soon. But there's hope, lots of those old shows are coming out now. I just got the final Transformers episodes where I live (on DVD), after buying every prior episode.
Dougie B Am I the only one who notices the ridiculous fact about this show that no one in the story could seem to figure out who the Bionic Six were? I mean, come on, not only did they NOT WEAR MASKS, but they were a family consisting of two Caucasian kids, an African-American and an Asian kid. Kind of hard to miss, yet it seemed in every episode people would be asking "Who are the Bionic Six?" Did the writers think the kids watching were complete morons?
yojoedave Bionic Six - oooh ooh! This show rocks! If you get a chance to see this show, you should agree with me that it's a visually amazing production. The characters have depth, are well-drawn, and the animation is of above average quality for an animated program of that era.The stories and writing are typical, and feature typical situations that you'll find protagonists of a super-hero action/adventure show involved in.The concept is definitely refreshing, and it's definitely a show you should take a look at in your nostalgic endevours.
